Liverpool travellers can now fly direct to Lisbon with easyJet

easyJet has launched its flight to Lisbon from Liverpool John Lennon Airport marking the start of a new direct connection between Liverpool and Portugal’s vibrant capital city.

The first flight took off for the first time on Tuesday, the route will continue to operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer season.

Lisbon, renowned for its historic neighbourhoods, Atlantic coastline, and thriving food scene, is expected to be a popular choice for customers looking for a summer city break.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: “We are very pleased to be celebrating our inaugural flight from Liverpool to Lisbon. The Portuguese capital is a fantastic destination for beach lovers and city explorers alike, offering year‑round culture, cuisine and sunshine.

“By introducing another exciting route from Liverpool, we’re providing even more choice, convenience and great value for customers across the North West this summer to book and fly with ease.”

Over the past months, easyJet has continued to grow its network at the airport, having launched eight new routes from Liverpool including Malta, Fuerteventura, Prague, Berlin, Marrakesh, City of Derry, Sharm el Sheikh, Split, Lisbon and Seville. 

To support the new routes easyJet added an additional aircraft for this this summer taking its total fleet size to nine. The arrival of Liverpool’s ninth Airbus A320neo aircraft enables the airline to offer even more choice and great value for money for flights and package holidays for customers in the North-West.
