Selfridges is bringing a first of its kind interactive beauty experience to the Trafford Centre

Beauty’s taking centre stage at the Trafford Centre this summer, and Selfridges is putting itself firmly in the spotlight.

The iconic store is bringing its beauty hall onto the mall in a first of its kind interactive beauty experience!

And, from Thursday to Sunday, June 4-7, customers will be able to visit the Selfridges takeaway beauty bar on Orient Way to build their own bespoke beauty pack that, depending on their preference or lifestyle, can follow a theme of their choice.

The themes on offer include Holiday, Party, Reset + Refresh and On the Go, and each pack will include four mini or travel size products, curated by the Selfridges Beauty experts in partnership with some of its favourite brands. 

Customers can then personalise their experience by selecting two additional product samples of their choice to add to their bundle, including a fragrance option (well Selfridges is the home of the biggest and best selection of premier and niche fragrances after all!).

The first 100 customers to purchase a bundle on EACH day will also receive a complimentary juice of their choice to enjoy. 

The Selfridges pop-out is part of an immersive and free four-day beauty experience being held at the Trafford Centre this month.

Inspired by the great fashion houses, the aim of ‘The House of Beautopia’ event is to ‘elevate beauty to an art form’ and create a world shaped by creativity, innovation and selfexpression, all under its giant domed roof.

It will bring together an unrivalled collection of beauty brands including Sephora, Space NK, Rituals, Boots, John Lewis, KIKO, Lush, L’Occitane and, of course, Selfridges.

There’ll also be the chance to enjoy live music and DJs, expert-led talks, interactive brand activations, live demonstrations, exclusive samples and win prizes from June 4-7.

The event will culminate in ‘Gem & Tonic with Gemma Atkinson,’ a live beauty talk and Q&A on Sunday, June 7 between 1–2.30pm. 

The former Hollyoaks actor, broadcaster, and popular wellness advocate will discuss beauty, confidence and wellbeing, offering audiences an uplifting and intimate live experience.

On Thursday, June 4 from 5-6pm, there’ll be a summer skin masterclass with makeup artist and content creator Nicole Callan, who’ll share her expertise in creating glowy, long-lasting complexions using affordable products and versatile techniques.

On Saturday, June 6 from 4-5pm there’ll be a flawless skin masterclass with bridal MUA and content creator Sophie Vijay, who’ll offer her expert techniques for creating soft, flawless, filter-like skin in real life.

Other highlights include Sephora’s interactive beauty experience with live demos and sampling, Space NK’s Summer Society Hotel popup, and Boots’ beauty playground.

Plus, for every £65 customers spend across beauty throughout the days of the event, they’ll get the chance to ‘crack the code’ to win a Trafford Centre gift card. 

Selfridges’ Beauty Takeaway pop-out will be waiting to welcome guests from Thursday to Saturday between 11am and 8pm, and on Sunday, from 12 noon to 6pm.
