Project Teens is a new event for neurodivergent young people allowing them to try something new in a space that feels welcoming and safe.
The event will bring together arts institutions, clubs and support organisations at Central Library on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 June for two days of free workshops which young people can sign up to.

Project Teens is an event aimed specifically at neurodivergent teenagers (14–17-year-olds) to highlight all of the most accessible extra-curricular opportunities available across Liverpool. The event has been organised in collaboration with the Brain Charity and Liverpool Family Hubs.
The event brings together organisations including National Museums Liverpool, Comics Youth, RAWD, The Bluecoat’s Young Blue Rooms and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic’s In Harmony for activities such as includes comic book making, illustration, performance, music, comedy, 3D printing, Dungeons and Dragons and much more. All of the providers also have an offer that the young people can sign up to following the event itself.

Event organiser, Christina Beaumont, said:
“We all know that being a teenager can bring a whole host of personal and social challenges. For some though, the thought of trying something new can feel especially daunting. This event offers a chance for young people to come along to a welcoming and friendly space and give something a go without any pressure or commitment, alongside others who probably feel the same as them. Why not give it a go, because who knows? You might just find the thing you love.”
Throughout the day there will be free workshops for the young people to try out the activities on offer. People can sign up to a maximum of four workshops via the Brain Charity’s website. Places are limited, so signing up early is recommended.
