The announcement lands at a double milestone for the kitchen, coinciding exactly with Little Clove Kitchen’s first anniversary since opening its doors in July 2025.
The Good Food Guide’s annual list is determined by a rigorous combination of tens of thousands of public nominations and inspections by anonymous experts.
It champions independent dining spots that offer outstanding cooking, value, and a deeply rooted commitment to their local communities.
Ranking at number 30 across the entire nation cements Little Clove Kitchen’s reputation as a premier destination on the UK’s vibrant food scene.

Isaret Pongnop (Paul), Chef Owner at Little Clove Kitchen, commented:
“To be ranked 30th in Great Britain by The Good Food Guide feels like a dream, and to find out during our very first anniversary month makes it unforgettable.
“We opened Little Clove Kitchen to bring traditional, high-quality Thai flavours to our community, and to be recognised as the first Thai restaurant in the North of England to achieve this standard is incredibly humbling.
“This award belongs to our team and the wonderful guests who have supported us from day one.”
Starting as a passionate neighborhood venture, the restaurant has quickly won over locals and critics alike with its thoughtful menu, combining traditional Thai techniques and local ingredients with excellent service.
As the team blew out the candle on their first birthday cake, this national accolade ensures that Little Clove Kitchen’s second year will begin with enthusiasm.
