Everything you need to know about Creamfields 2019

With less than a week to go until the North West’s biggest music festival returns, we get your full festival run down for Creamfields 2019.


Festival fans are in for the August bank holiday weekend of their lives as the biggest electronic line up of the year gears up to return to Daresbury. The countdown to Creamfields 2019 is almost done. The bags are packed, the colossal arenas and stages are built and there bars are stocked to the hilt. All you need to do now is check out the festival site map, book your travel and grab your ID.

When & Where

Creamfields returns to Daresbury in the heart of the Cheshire countryside on Thursday 22nd -Sunday 25th August 2019. Head for junction 11 or 12 off the M56 and follow event signage.

This year, Creamfields is urging festival fans to go-green where possible. Car-sharing, the big green bus and shuttle buses can all get you there and back while helping to reduce congestion and emissions.


Getting There

By Car

The routes to Creamfields will be clearly signposted to help avoid traffic congestion. If you follow the dedicated Creamfields signs to the festival you will get to the site quicker. The festival organisers advise you to not use sat-nav systems as there will be road closures in place around the festival site.

On-site parking is available and you can pay for this when you get there. More on travelling by car here. 

By Train

The nearest train stations to the Creamfields festival site are Runcorn Station, Warrington Central, Warrington Bank Quay and Liverpool Lime Street, all of which are connected to the main line and have shuttle buses operating to and from the site all day and night. Shuttle Bus

Creamfields shuttle buses will be running throughout the days and nights of the festival weekend, taking you directly to and from the festival site. Liverpool, Manchester and Warrington will operate a return service while Runcorn and Widnes will operate a ‘end of festival’ service only. Book tickets in advance and find out more here.

Big Green Coach

Creamfields has partnered up with Big Green Coach again to provide weekend or day return travel to the festival site. Picking up from 55 UK wide locations – everywhere from Aberdeen to Portsmouth and everywhere in between, get your camping gear together or just throw your lippy and a power bank in your bag and jump on board. The Festival Site

Creamfields 2019 is made up arenas, stages, camp sites, camp site village complete with its very own Co Op, phone charging hot spots and of course, tick off all the selfie/Instagram spots. Check out the map below and start planning your festival weekend.


Opening Times

These are the arena opening times for each day of Creamfields 2019. Head this way for camping and car parking opening and closing times.

Thursday

Arena opening time 5pm – 11pm last entry 9pm

Friday

Arena opening time 3pm – 11pm last entry 9pm

Saturday

Arena opening time 2pm – 4am last entry 9pm

Sunday

Arena opening time 12pm – 11pm last entry 9pm


Who’s On?

The Creamfields 2019 line-up is off the scale. There’s more than 250 acts covering 30 different stages and arenas across the four days, headlined by Swedish House Mafia! International, national and local DJ’s are preparing to play their part in legendary, unforgettable sets in the main arena. Here’s our top pics of who’s on each day.

Sunday

It all leads up to this. Creamfields headline act 2019, Swedish House Mafia take to the ARC stage while across the across the festival site, you can catch the likes of Tiesto and Faithless DJ Set at Horizon, Camelphat at Generator Presents Blow, MK and Gorgon City at MK AREA10, Anton Powers and Danny Howard at Sub_Aural, Paul Van Dyke at Pepsi Max and Seb Fontaine, Tall Paul, K Klass and more at Silo Presents Cream Classics. Food & Drink

You can’t take food and drink in to the Main Arena site but there is a whole host of tasty food vendors plus a number of bars across the festival site. If you’re camping there’s an on site Co Op selling food and toiletries too.

There’s street food stalls, hospitality and campsite dining options on offer serving up everything from burgers to pizza, tacos to noodles, mac and cheese, toasties, gourmet fries and amazing Yorkshire pudding wraps! There’s also 8 veggie/vegan/gluten free foodie outlets offering something for everyone and Liverpool dessert emporium, Treaty Pie has your sweet cravings covered.

Do’s & Dont’s

Do’s

Do double check you’ve got your festival tickets, shuttle bus tickets and ID in a safe place while you travel and dance your feet sore.

Do check out the charge candy points to keep your battery topped up and to capture your festival experience

Do check the weather this week and dress accordingly, we say it every year, poncho’s are sexy. If it looks like rain, get one and rock it! Alternatively, make sure you whack your factor 50 on if its looking like a scorcher.

Do check out where the water stations and cash points are across the festival site.

Dont’s

Don’t bring food or drink, inc alcohol to the festival site (unless you’re camping in which case, head this way for the specifics on what you can and can’t bring.)

Don’t leave the festival site until you’re absolutely sure you’re done, because there is no re-entry.

Don’t bring a bag any bigger than than a sheet of A4 paper. Bags will be searched so check out the list below before you pack your essentials.

There’s still a few, limited ticket options available right across the festival. Friday standard starts at £65 plus booking, Saturday standard are £85 plus booking fee while four day camping starts at £230 plus booking fee. Get yours here.
