Smithdown Road Festival back for 2018 with ‘All Dayer’ teaser this October
7 years ago
Smithdown Road Festival is back for a fourth year, and it’s bigger and better than ever before and as well as that the team will host a special ‘All Dayer’ on Saturday 7th October.
Taking place as always over the May Day Bank Holiday Weekend 5th – 7th May 2018, expect a jam packed schedule of incredible live music, comedy, theatre, cinema and loads for the kids to do too.
Taking place on Wavertree Park, as well as several venues along Smithdown Roaditself (including The Handymans, Craft Taproom, Evil Eye and Naked Lunch) – there will be 14 indoor stages, plus 2 huge outdoor stages too. As well the music, there will be a dedicated kids area, street food market and a pop up cinema and theatre.
And the best bit? IT’S ALL FREE!
2017 saw acts such as Craig Charles, Space, Dave McCabe (The Zutons) and Idles take to the stage, and the organisers are promising an even better line up for 2018.
Kev McArthur from the festival says “We’ve been thinking about this since the last festival finished! There are some brilliant bands lined up for next year already, and we are working with some fantastic promoters from around the city too. First wave of bands to be announced in November, so keep checking back!”
On Saturday 7th October you can experience the Smithdown Road Festival ‘All Dayer’ with live music and special guests throughout at venues like Kellys, Brookhouse & Evil Eye.
