The Refreshment Rooms
Nestled on the banks of the Mersey in historic Rock Park, the Refreshment Rooms is one of Wirral’s best kept secrets. With home-cooked pub food at its best and literally tonnes of Britsih classics and globally inspired favourites to choose from its one of the tastiest and best value eateries around – and the views aren’t too shabby either.

Hands down the best location on Wirral, wrap up warm and grab some late winter sunshine on the terrace with a cup (or a glass) of something warming. The perfect spot for a pit-stop on a bracing festive walk, there is always a roaring fire inside and the current festive lobster offer looks pretty cool at £55 for two people with a glass of prosecco.

The Boat House
Another great coastal option, the Boat House sits proud at the end of Parkgate Promenade. Their delicious seasonal menu is packed full of festive favourites and is terrific value at £19.95 for two courses or £24.95 for three. Christmas Day looks pretty impressive too and won’t break the bank at just £69.95 for four delicious courses.

Woodside Food Village
Enjoy a casual Christmas at Wirral’s riverside food slam. Choose from a selection of super-cool vendors including Cowfish, The Refreshment Room sand Café Crème and dance the night away at one of their Christmas Party nights on Friday 20th or Saturday 21st December. There will be a resident DJ, live music and plenty of festive fun for just £5 entry.

Hickory’s Smokehouse
Trade in the turkey and send your taste buds over the pond for a taste of a true Southern Christmas. Load up on the treats with the indulgent Southern Fried Turkey Burger served with a smoky pork and herb sausage, American cheese cranberry relish and skin-on fries and go full on ‘happy holidays’ with the egg nog waffle! For a bit of five-star indulgence head to Frankby and ever-so Christmassy Hillbark Hotel. As well as their super-indulgent Christmas Day menu (£120 adults / £60 children) the guys will be serving up their fabulously festive afternoon tea’s throughout (£33) and the big guy himself will be making an appearance on Sunday 22nd December at their Brunch With Santa event.
