American Fried Chicken Restaurant, Popeyes, gets set to launch in Liverpool

Popeyes is famous for its American Fried Chicken and you can now tuck in here in Liverpool

This November, American fried chicken restaurant Popeyes is opening the doors to its first North West restaurant in Liverpool following the success of a string of new openings across the UK including Nottingham, Gateshead and Oxford.

The store will officially open its doors at 11am on Saturday 26th November on Lord Street in Liverpool, and following the success of previous launches, it is advised to get down quickly as queues are expected for the famed chicken from the early morning hours.

To celebrate the Liverpool launch, Popeyes UK will be pulling out all the stops to showcase its Southern hospitality, including rolling out an orange carpet, distributing limited-edition merchandise and hosting a live Mardi Gras style band, the Brass Funkeys, to bring the sound of New Orleans to the city.

Chicken fans will be able to experience Popeyes world famous ‘shatter crunch’ for themselves once they get their hands on the mouth-watering menu, including the iconic Popeyes® Chicken Sandwich which contains the brand’s 12-hour marinated chicken, and original Southern biscuits and gravy.

What’s more, the first three customers through the door on launch day will win free Chicken Sandwiches for a whole year*  – the ultimate prize for every fried chicken fan, with the first fifty customers also being rewarded with a free Chicken Sandwich and official Popeyes® UK merchandise.

The much-loved American brand, which boasts the Chicken Sandwich that broke the internet, has already launched 8 restaurants and 4 delivery kitchens across the UK, and is on a mission for further expansion, with 20 new restaurants expected to open in 2023, including drive-thru. 

Popeyes® Liverpool will open on 59-61 Lord Street from 11am on Saturday 26th November and will seat up to 116 people.
