Cast release new single ahead of their UK headline tour
2 weeks ago
Cast have released a new single, “Calling Out Your Name”, to mark the start of their headline tour of the UK and Ireland.
Cast have enjoyed the summer of a lifetime, creating unforgettable memories for the band and fans alike as they won over stadiums in the UK, Ireland and North America as guests to Oasis. That life-affirming positivity is overflowing into their new music too, with recent singles âPoison Vineâ and âWay Itâs Gotta Be (Oh Yeah)â earning some of the strongest airplay of the career as well as a new flurry of international attention. 2026 is shaping up to be similarly special, starting with the release of the new album âYeah Yeah Yeahâ on January 30th – a record that Cast now further preview with the new single âCalling Out Your Nameâ.
The feeling that Cast have been reborn is lit by the joyous feeling that flows throughout âCalling Out Your Nameâ. It simmers with the exuberant energy and instantly memorable hooks that the band first made their name with, but time has seasoned their rock ân roll roots with a touch of Northern Soul passion. That latter quality is underlined with soaring gospel soul vocals as the song reaches its finale, recalling the magic touch of their recent collaborator P.P. Arnold.
Frontman John Power says:
â”âCalling Out Your Nameâ is a song telling you that you donât need to be afraid or need to be given a reason or need anyone elseâs permission to be yourself. Just your own acceptance of who you want to be. We all want to be someone, so why not be ourselves?”
While 2024âs âLove Is The Callâ was praised for introducing a rejuvenated Cast, âCalling Out Your Nameâ, âPoison Vineâ and âWay Itâs Gotta Be (Oh Yeah)âall providence compelling evidence that âYeah Yeah Yeahâ will take Castâs current era to a new peak. The band is still completed by original members Liam âSkinâ Tyson (guitar) and Keith OâNeill (drums), and they recorded âYeah Yeah Yeahâ in Spain with the renowned producer Youth (The Verveâs âUrban Hymnsâ).
âYeah Yeah Yeahâ is available to order here. Physical formats include a cornetto-patterned 12â vinyl and two home-and-away CD variants, which complement two new Cast football shirts which also feature the logo of their record label, the Manchester indie Scruff of the Neck, as well as that of their famed management company Creation.
After the Oasis tour reconnected Cast with original fans and introduced them to new ones, itâs now almost time for them to step back out on their own with theâ30 Years of All Changeâ headline tour. Their Top 10, Platinum-certified debut is full of hits in the shape of âFinetimeâ, âAlrightâ, âSandstormâ, âWalkawayâand âFlyingâ.
