Come with us on a day trip to Barcelona from Liverpool Airport 🇪🇸✈️😍

Barcelona is one of the world’s best-loved and most popular destinations. It’s winding streets, al fresco dining, beautiful beachfront and Gaudi-inspired architecture are just some of the things that make the city what it is - and there really is so much to see and do. 🤩

There are 15 flights every week, direct from Liverpool John Lennon Airport and with just a two hour flight time, you can get there and back in one day, or for a longer break if you prefer.

Watch as Jay explores the capital of Catalonia and gives you plenty of tips on how to spend your time in this iconic city. All with Liverpool John Lennon Airport. ☀️

Liverpool Biennial is the UK’s largest free festival of contemporary visual art and it’s on right now! 😍

Taking over historic buildings, unexpected spaces and art galleries across the city, you can expect to see free exhibitions, performances, community and learning activities, and lots of outdoor installations that we all love tying to this year’s title of BEDROCK, echoing Liverpool’s sandstone foundations and its solid values.

Watch as we meet Biennial Director Sam, and Curator of Learning, Aimee to explore the Biennial route with artworks at The Bluecoat, Liverpool ONE, Mann Island and more.

It’s back for a brand new chapter 🏳️‍🌈🤩

Find out everything you need to know about Liverpool’s Pride and how you can celebrate on Saturday 26 July, this time on the waterfront and at the M&S Bank Arena.

We meet Sahir House boss Ant Hopkinson, Culture Liverpool boss Claire McColgan and Cllr Harry Doyle to find out more. 🌈🤩

The March will start around 11:30am at Pier Head, with people invited to gather from 9:30am for speeches and a vigil.

The march will be led by a representative group of local trans community members, organised by Protest Scouse Dolls. Following them, disabled and neurodivergent people will be invited to march in solidarity, highlighting the importance of visibility and inclusion for those who have too often been overlooked or left behind. They will set the pace for the march – slow, steady, inclusive and accessible.

After this, the march will proceed in a fluid, non-hierarchical format with no rigid blocks or separation. All attendees are expected to march peacefully and supportively, celebrating community, diversity, and togetherness.

MARCH:
Start Point: George’s Parade / Pier Head
End Point: Main entrance of the M&S Bank Arena

Step-by-step route:

1. Start at George’s Parade, in front of the Three Graces.
2. Walk south along Canada Boulevard, with the Mersey to your right.
3. Continue past Mann Island toward the Museum of Liverpool.
4. Loop around the museum: Pass the rear fountains and terrace, circle to the front entrance, rejoin Mann Island.
5. Turn right onto The Strand.
6. Continue and turn right onto Salthouse Quay.
7. Walk alongside the Royal Albert Dock.
8. Cross Gower Street (marshalled pedestrian crossing).
9. Cross the Keel Wharf pedestrian bridge.
10. Continue on Keel Wharf to the ACC Arena main entrance.

Total route distance (with museum loop): ~1.4 miles / 2.2 km

Route conditions: Fully step-free, flat, and wheelchair-accessible.
