The Hop Vine

The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find their own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers they are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and their sister pub the Legh Arms.
