Here’s our top 6 September events you can enjoy with easy, affordable travel from Merseyrail…..

1 – Heritage on the Dock, Albert Dock

Sail the south docks, go behind the scenes at Tate, dip for sea creatures, ride a classic bus, taste exotic teas, take a heritage tour, enjoy an architectural exhibition, and much more as Heritage on the Dock celebrates our rich maritime history on 7-10th September. 2 – Liverpool Food & Drink Festival, Sefton Park

Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Liverpool Food & Drink Festival by sampling world cuisine in the middle of our stunning, Sefton Park on 16-17th September! With more celeb chefs, demos, street food, family fun and music than you can shake a chopstick at, you’d be mad to miss it. Nearest station: St Michaels Station. Tickets here.

3 – Southport Air Show 2017

Tickets are now on sale for the biggest aerial show in the North West and the Southport Air Show is about more than just what’s in the sky. From 15th-17th September 2017 you can expect explosions on the beach, mini tanks, assault courses, beach activities, the military on site with tanks, equipment, aircraft and a fireworks finale to launch the weekend! 4 – Pirate Festival on the Dock, Albert Dock

There’s a whole load of family fun on offer down at Albert Dock on 16-17th September as Pirate Festival on the Dock returns for some rip-roaring, swashbuckling fun for land-lubbers of all ages. From 11-6pm you can watch live action pirate battles, join in the mermaid parade and soak up the brilliant atmosphere across the dock. Nearest station: James Street, Central. More info here.

5 – Chester Races, Chester Racecourse

There’s more to Chester Races than just horses! Throughout September the racecourse is hosting a number of events including Chester Comic Con, Boodle Roodee Challenge Cup Polo Finals and of course the MBNA Autumn Festival. 6 – Retail Heaven at Liverpool One

Whether you need a new pencil case for school, pots and pans for your uni halls or you just fancy treating yourself to something new, Liverpool One is the place to shop. Jam-packed with every high-street brand you can imagine, plus a wealth of restaurants, coffee shops and bars, you can shop til you drop, relax and then shop some more.
