Ignite Padel to open new site in South Liverpool
18 seconds ago
A huge new padel centre with both indoor and outdoor courts is set to open this July in Hunts Cross
Ignite Padel, a Liverpool-based company, opened its first site in Liverpool in April 2025 on Queens Drive, with six floodlit outdoor courts. They then opened another site in Ellesmere Port in Cheshire Oaks in September 2025, which has five indoor and two outdoor courts. Their third side then opened in Speke in December last year which consists of 6 indoor courts and 4 outdoor covered courts
Now the fastest growing racquet sport in the world, padel – which is a cross between tennis and squash – has become hugely popular in the UK.
The latest site in the Ignite Padel portfolio will have 11 indoor courts and the site is just over 34,000 square feet in size.
Hunts Cross will have a licensed bar and a specialised coffee shop for a relaxing drink after a game showing all of the Sky Sports and TNT Sports action.

Ignite Padel Hunts Cross will also contain a retail store where players can shop for racquets, balls and clothing in person rather than online and find exactly the right fit.
Like all the other sites, Ignite Padel Hunts Cross, will offer expert coaching from beginner to more experienced level.
With the social side of the game so important, players can join Ignite Padel’s exclusive What’s App community – the largest padel group chat in the North West – making it easy to instantly pair, and to find other people who’ve got open matches and join them.
Stephen Broad – Partner at Ignite Padel says:
“We have imported all the courts from Spain and they are championship standard quality and LTA approved, meaning they meet the standards set by the Lawn Tennis Association.”
Ignite Padel Hunts Cross will be the company’s fourth site and they are aiming to open a total of five across the North West by the end of 2026.

Chris Watson – Partner at Ignite Padel concludes:
“We are excited to announce our fourth padel site in the region. The game is going from strength to strength and it is great to see players of all ages and levels taking up the sport. We will also soon be announcing details of our 5th site as we get nearer to completion on the site.”
Ignite Padel West Derby also recently applied for an alcohol license successfully. This will see alcohol available from midday to 8pm post games for players only.
