Everything you need to know about Halloween in Liverpool 2024

There’s only a couple of weeks to go before Halloween’s set to happily haunt us with ghoulishly great goings-on in the city.
From ghost hunts to musical treats (and tricks?!) and racing fun, there’s tons to help the kids and grown-ups celebrate this spooktacular season – so if you’re scared of missing out, here’s what we know so far.
Halloween Party at Liverpool ONE
Get ready for a spooktacular Halloween Party at Liverpool ONE on Sunday 27th October, from 11am to 5pm, for a fang-tastic day of thrills and chills. Little ghouls can enter the Children’s Fancy Dress Competition for a chance to win a £200 Liverpool ONE Gift Card for the best costume!
Expect wicked performances from Katumba, adding a spine-chilling twist to their energetic routines. Brave souls can even join their workshops to learn their haunting moves and drum along during one of their eerie performances. Plus, with Zombie Dancers, spooky characters, and eerie entertainment, it’s a Halloween event the whole family will love!

Murder Mystery evening at Knowsley Hall
Knowsley Hall invites you to an unforgettable Murder Mystery Evening filled with suspense, glamour, and intrigue on Saturday 26 October. Hosted by the UK’s leading murder mystery company, Murder 57, this spine-tingling event promises to make your Halloween weekend one to remember.
The evening kicks off at 7pm with a sparkling welcome drink, followed by a decadent three-course meal in the State Dining Room. Guests will then dive into a fully interactive murder mystery experience, unravelling a chilling plot of deceit and danger.
After the mystery is solved and the culprit unmasked, the night continues with dancing and celebration. For those wanting to extend the magic, Knowsley Hall offers the option of an overnight stay in their stunning en-suite bedrooms.
The plot revolves around the Kirk-Moulding family’s local tradition, overshadowed by a serial killer’s deadly rampage. With two deaths already and more to come, no one is safe… not even the police!

Flight Club’s Spooky Brunch
Flight Club Liverpool is adding an eerie-sistible twist to its bottomless brunch this Halloween with a two-hour Spooky Brunch Special, available on 26th and 27th October.
Expect some Halloween-themed tunes from the resident DJ, a devilish cocktail on arrival followed by a bottle of prosecco for every guest, frighteningly good bottomless pizza paddles and an hour at the oche throwing sharp pointy things (otherwise known as Social Darts!). Come dressed up and be in with a chance to bag some treats!

Mighty Red special Halloween appearances at LFC Stadium Tour
Mighty Red’s popular Halloween appearances are back for one day only! On Thursday, October 31, young fans can look forward to an unforgettable day filled with a full stadium tour and a visit to the museum, where they’ll have the chance to meet Mighty himself for photos and autographs.
The fun doesn’t stop there—guests can enjoy fiendish surprises, spooky games, and football skills activities with the LFC Foundation team. All Mighty Red appearances are Makaton Friendly, ensuring that everyone can join in the fun, and Halloween-themed fancy dress is encouraged!
Be sure to choose one of the time slots at 11.30am, 1pm, or 2pm to give yourself plenty of time to soak in the stunning views from Level 6 before heading down to European Boulevard, where Mighty Red will be eagerly waiting to meet you!

Mersey Ferries Halloween cruise
Get your ghoulish make-up at the ready for a very special Halloween Evening Cruise!
The live DJ will be blasting blood-curdling beats from the 60s to now as Mersey Ferries welcome monsters of the Mersey onto their dance floor deck, so get practising your best ‘Thriller’ moves, as they put a spell on you.
Fancy dress is highly encouraged, so be prepared to rub shoulders with some very peculiar passengers on this creepy cruise!

Step right up and get eyes down for Bingo Lingo Liverpool’s Carnival of Horrors. Dare to enter the twisted circus for a frightfully fun night of music, dancing, games and prizes on Friday and Saturday, October 25 and 26.

Spooky Welly Walk – Sefton Park
On Saturday, October 19, the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is turning Sefton Park spooky with its Halloween-themed two-mile fundraising walk, and they’ll be keeping your little monsters entertained with games, creepy crafts, a freaky funfair, and more. The Spooky Welly Walk event opens at 10.45am and the fun doesn’t stop until 4.30pm.

Aintree Racecourse – Jewson Halloween Family Day
Make it a Halloween day to remember on Sunday, October 27, with a full racing card and loads of fun for kids. There’ll be face painters transforming little ones into their favourite spooky creatures, eerie characters roaming the racecourse, a ghost train, and loads more spooktacular surprises, along with all the action on the course.

Scream Park at Newsham
Newsham Scream Park is back this Halloween with four new scare experiences which will wind through the historic and haunted building’s claustrophobic corridors and dilapidated dormitories. There’s also a Horror Selfie Museum, street entertainment, stage acts, live music, and more from Friday, October 4 to Saturday, November 2.

Farmageddon
The annual horror fest is back from Saturday, September 28 with tons of terrifying attractions that’ll have you quivering in your boots. Brave The Beast of Terror, The Meat Locker, the Fear Go Round, and the Maze of Death before heading to The Zombie Arms for a pint of ‘Freakston’. You’ll need it to calm your nerves!

New students can enjoy some scarily good tunes with deep house, disco, hip hop and house and a yet-to-be-revealed headliner. It’s on at the uni on Thursday, October 31, and be warned, it’s usually a sell-out.

Krazyhouse Halloween Party at Electrik Warehouse
The Halloween All-Nighters at The Krazyhouse were legendary so here’s hoping the day party Halloween reunion special from 3-10pm on Saturday, October 26, can bring back some memories of those iconic nights. Fancy dress is encouraged with a competition for the best dressed plus they’re bringing back loads of old K DJs from the past.

Halloween Lakeside Trail and Lakeside Terror Trail
The Halloween Lakeside Trail is an enchanted walk and wickedly-fun family friendly experience at Patridge Lakes in Warrington, with friendly ghosts and woodland spiders, and a magical witches lair. But the Terror Trail is definitely for the grown-ups (or brave teens from 14+) with unstable prison inmates and zombies on the loose, and the quest to survive on this treacherous path. The fun – and fear – starts from Friday, October 4.

Arts Club Liverpool is hosting a Cirque du Soul Halloween Special which promises the ‘scariest circus rave’. Step into the abandoned theatre of nightmares – and if you get past the killer clowns, rabid bats and marauding zombees you’ll be in for ‘one hell of a party with DJs pumping out the biggest and baddest in jackin’ house, breaks, garage, techno and club bangers’.

VIBE and SERSA unite for one of the biggest shows of the year at the Invisible Wind Factory on Saturday, October 26. Loads of special guests are set to be announced for a night in the ‘haunted warehouse’.

Southport Pleasureland – Day of the Dead Festival
The traditional Mexican celebration Day of the Dead is back again for 2024 on Saturday, November 2. The park will be festooned with brightly coloured sugar skulls creating a fabulous fiesta atmosphere, and there’ll be unlimited rides all evening along with a stunning firework finale.

Raver Tots Halloween Special at Invisible Wind Factory
Raver Tots are returning to Liverpool for a massive Halloween Party and fancy dress is encouraged!
The most Spooktacular indoor family dance party will be playing the best in house, garage & drum and bass.
There’ll be a huge effects show throughout the event with dancers, performers, cold pyro, bubbles, multi coloured lasers and lighting, parachute games, giant balloons, licensed bar and face painting!

The Plaza Community Cinema are celebrating Halloween this year with two special events which will cater for everyone.
Horror film fans will love their Plaza 80s Halloween Special with ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ on Saturday 26 October at 7pm, which has just celebrated it’s 40th anniversary.
