Everything you need to know about Mamasan, the new restaurant coming to Liverpool ONE

A new South East Asian-inspired restaurant is opening in Liverpool ONE, bringing amazing authentic dishes, indulgent cocktails and a rooftop bar with panoramic views across the city.

Mamasan bar and brasserie offers a unique dining experience, which combines fresh South East Asian flavours, created in-house and taken to the next level by the best of British produce.

Add in gorgeous interiors, a stunning roof terrace and DJs, and it’s set to become Liverpool’s must-go destination restaurant for early brunching through to late night dining and dancing.

Set over three levels, opening next week, so here’s everything you need to know about Mamasan …

Where is it?

Mamasan is on College Lane which links Peter’s Lane and Hanover Street in Liverpool ONE. There’ll be a 200-cover restaurant and bar with dining space on the ground level, private dining and social spaces on a mezzanine, and the rooftop bar which is the perfect place to go pre or post-dinner or just to enjoy drinks in a really fabulous outdoor setting.

What can we expect from the food?

The chefs at Mamasan are expert at creating the most incredible dishes, using their skills to make all core elements of each dish from scratch – from curry pastes to their own coconut cream – so every one is packed with flavour. Signature mains include green curry of monkfish tail and tiger prawns; white miso chicken; steamed lemongrass sea bass in banana leaf; and a show-stopping half or whole native lobster, open-fire grilled with Thai green butter. Desserts such as oolong tea and lychee tiramisu; and marbled black sesame cheesecake are absolutely delicious. It also has Halal, vegan, vegetarian and GF options so no-one has to miss out.

We do love brunch in Liverpool, is there one here?

Mamasan’s brunch is unlike any other – think crab cake Benedict, Thai green baked eggs or a Big Bangkok Breakfast and you’ll get an idea of what’s on offer.

How about drinks?

It’s not just all about food at Mamasan, the drinks are a big attraction in their own right. Alongside fine wines and spirits, and craft beers, Mamasan’s team of mixologists concoct some pretty dazzling cocktails. Combining shrubs, syrups and a whole lot of bar wizardry, they’ve come up with a wow menu of cocktails including original Mamasan takes on classics like salted watermelon mojito; coconut old fashioned; and raspberry and rose margarita. To celebrate its opening Liverpool, you can claim a complimentary drink when you visit by clicking here.

What will Mamasan look like?

Nobody’s going to be disappointed by the surroundings inside and outside and, yes, it’s full of photo opportunities! The dining space is ultra-chic and there’s a beautiful floral-covered staircase which spans the building and leads up to the mezzanine. Those views from the roof terrace are really special too.

Anything else to look forward to?

There’ll be DJs playing regularly, Mamasan has private dining space so you can enjoy an exclusive experience and, like it’s sister restaurant in Glasgow which was the first in the UK, it plans to add in-house dining events and live music takeovers.

Mamasan opens next week and you can book a table now here. Also follow Mamasan on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
