Fans invited to give Lionesses a huge welcome at Hill Dickinson Stadium
53 minutes ago
England Women will return to Liverpool on Tuesday night as the Lionesses take on Ukraine at Hill Dickinson Stadium in their final World Cup 2027 qualifier.
Ahead of the 8pm kick off, supporters are being encouraged to arrive early and create a memorable welcome for Sarina Wiegman’s side as they arrive at the waterfront venue.
Fans can gather at the Western Wharf, next to the River Mersey, where both team coaches are expected to arrive before the match. Ukraine’s team coach is due at around 6.20pm, with the Lionesses expected shortly afterwards at approximately 6.30pm.
The arrival area can be accessed via the perimeter route at the end of the North and South Stands, with supporters invited to bring flags and banners to help create a vibrant atmosphere.
Adding to the excitement, Lionesses legend and former Everton star Jill Scott MBE is expected to arrive at the stadium at around 6.10pm as she completes the second day of her latest fundraising challenge for Comic Relief and Sport Relief.

Jill is undertaking a five day duathlon that will see her travel 388 miles between some of the most important clubs in her career. Her arrival in Liverpool follows a gruelling 99 mile cycle ride from Aston Villa.
The match marks the second international fixture to be staged at Hill Dickinson Stadium and gives Liverpool football fans another chance to see the reigning European champions in action on Merseyside.
Supporters are reminded that space on the Western Wharf viewing area is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Once capacity is reached, the area will close for safety reasons.
Fans should also note that pyrotechnics, including flares, smoke bombs and smoke grenades, are strictly prohibited within the stadium footprint.
Tickets for the World Cup qualifier are still available, with Everton also publishing a dedicated event guide to help supporters plan their visit, including travel information, stadium maps, food and drink options, accessibility details and ticketing advice.
With England chasing another big performance and Liverpool preparing to roll out a warm Merseyside welcome, Tuesday night promises to be a special occasion both on and off the pitch.
