Ghost The Musical is coming to Liverpool Empire

This spellbinding production, with music and lyrics by multi-Brit Award-winning Eurythmics star Dave Stewart and Grammy Award-winning Glen Ballard, brings all the romance and magic of the classic story to life on stage.

Bill Kenwright Ltd is thrilled to announce the return of the worldwide sensation Ghost the Musical to the Liverpool Empire.

Walking back to their apartment late one night, a tragic encounter sees Sam murdered and his girlfriend Molly alone, in despair and utterly lost. With the help of a phoney storefront psychic, Sam, trapped between this world and the next, tries to communicate with Molly in the hope of saving her from grave danger…

Since its cinematic debut, Ghost has secured its place as one of the most significant successes in film history.

Starring the late Patrick Swayze alongside Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg (who won the Oscar for Supporting Actress), the film captivated audiences worldwide and dominated the box office and awards, including an Oscar win for screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin.

Now, Rubin has masterfully adapted his screenplay into a mesmerising musical experience.

Premiering in Manchester in 2011, Ghost the Musical has enjoyed sell-out seasons in the West End and on Broadway, as well as numerous successful international tours. Audiences everywhere have been swept away by its captivating storytelling and unforgettable music.

Featuring The Righteous Brothers’ timeless hit “Unchained Melody” alongside an array of other fantastic songs co-written by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart, Ghost the Musical promises an evening of pure theatrical magic.

Ghost The Musical will play at Liverpool Empire from 3-7 September 2024.
