Here’s where you can pick your own strawberries near Liverpool

Summer’s here and that means strawberry season is too so now’s the time to take a trip to a local farm and go picking before they disappear!

Picking your own strawberries and other berries is a great way to entertain the kids outdoors and end up with something super-fresh and tasty for a picnic or after tea while you’re at it.

If you fancy filling up a punnet or two, here are some farms where you can pick your own near Liverpool …

Head to Kenyon Hall Farm on Winwick Lane in Croft, not far from Newton-le-Willows (J10 off the M62), and you’ll not only find fruit picking but a café, farm shop selling lots of home-grown produce and plant centre, open every day from 9am to 5pm. Advanced booking is needed to pick strawberries, and tickets sell out fast, but there’s also a chance to pick other fruits without booking including blackcurrants, redcurrants and whitecurrants. Fields are open from 9.30am with last entry at 4pm.
