We’re turning up the romance in Liverpool with a date idea for every day of the week.
We’ve taken a leaf out of Craig David’s song book for this guide to dating in Liverpool, with a couple of perfect date ideas for every day of the week. We all know it’s easy to get stuck in a rut, going to the same places or choosing a night on the sofa with the soaps, so why not get inspired and ramp up the romance with a night on the town or an intimate meal for two? If you’re the more adventurous couple we’ve got some great activities lined up that will most definitely get your heart racing…oohh eerrr!
Here’s our top pick Liverpool date ideas for every day of the week….
1 – Monday
Movies and old school romance are the name of the game on Monday. Give Netflix a night off and head into town for Monday night Movie Club at The Jacaranda, screening everything from Bridesmaids to Scarface and Die Hard, there’s free popcorn, free tequila and huge bean bags to snuggle down in. More info here. Have you been to The Box at Picturehouse at FACT? The boutique screen has 25 double seated sofas so you and your loved one can get close and comfy to watch a blockbuster, plus it’s discounted tickets on a Monday too! What’s on at The Box here. Â
2 – Tuesday
Sharing a meal with your nearest and dearest needn’t be all formal and awkward silences. Tuesdays are all about tapas and delicious sharing boards that are bound to get the conversation started. We’re loving the freshly prepared deli boards at The Club House, Liverpool ONE. Pick four tasty options from the rotisserie, hot pots, salads and home made menus plus sourdough bread for less than ÂŁ12, check out the menu here. When it comes to authentic Catalan tapas, you can’t beat Neon Jamon, Berry St. Tuck into patatas bravas, the juiciest chorizo and padron peppers that will have you booking a romantic break for two in Barcelona. Menus and more here.Â
3 – Wednesday
We know it’s refered to as ‘hump day’ but don’t get down in the dumps waiting for the weekend, kick off the fun with a random night out with your special one. Flex your general knowledge skills with a pub quiz double date at Three Piggies, Allerton Road and be in with a chance of bagging ÂŁ100! Or head to The Lodge, Lark Lane, grab a table by the fire and take on the Wednesday night quiz to be crowned king of the lane. Click here for our pub quiz round up. Fancy something a bit more hands on? Get down to Ghetto Golf at the Cain’s Brewery Village and get competitive on the whacky 18 hole course, loser gets the drinks in at the newly refurbed Birdies Bar.
4 – Thursday
Providing the weather plays ball, why not see the city light up with Twlight Thursdays at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. For just ÂŁ5.50 you can climb the stairs of the incredible bell tower to the roof, after dark and see the city skyline like never before, you might just catch a breath-taking sunset over the Mersey too. Tickets and info here. If heights aren’t your think, why not take an early evening wander along the Liverpool waterfront from the Pier Head to Kings Dock and check out the love locks that line the Mersey, a great after-work chill and plenty of places at Albert Dock to grab a drink along the way.
5 – Friday
Turn up the heat with a flaming hot Friday night date on the town, we love nothing more than glamming up and with venues such as The Florist, Hardman St, why would you want to stay in? The former Old Blind School has undergone a truly stunning transformation that has to be seen to be believed. Bringing beautiful blooms inside the two floor, multi room venue into a secret garden, you’re going to love the selfie ops as much as the cocktails, click here for more info. Friday nights would be the same without plenty of prosecco and a pint or two, so get dolled up and head to The Alchemist, NYL Restaurant & Bar or Lock & Key to check out the cocktails before dancing the night away at Camp & Furnace, Garlands or CIRCO.

6 – Saturday
Shake off that hangover and get ready to make some hilarious memories with the love of your life. Liverpool is awash with alternative date ideas and Saturday is the perfect time to show them who’s boss. First up though, fuel your competitive spirit with a tasty brunch at The Brink, Lucha Libre or try out the full English at Unit 51, Jamaica Street, you wont be craving a butty til at least 2pm!
Brand new for Liverpool, Adventure Dock is a 92m long inflatable aqua park that has the potential to make or break a relationship! Will you work together to complete the course in record time…or will you be too busy laughing as your missus/fella takes the plunge for the 10th time? Book your Adventure Dock tickets here and see who comes out on top.
Having re-done your curly blow after taking a dunk in the dock, book yourselves some gig or show tickets for a classy Saturday night out. In the coming months the Echo Arena welcomes Steroeophonics, Katy Perry, Nickleback, Scouse comedian, Paul Smith and Circque Du Soleil Ovo, while the Liverpool Philharmonic has Jason Manford, Echo and the Bunnymen and The Shires on the bill. Go on, treat yo self!
7 – Sunday
Lazy Sunday morning breakfast at The Tavern the papers, freshly brewed coffee and a huge stack of American pancakes (or eggs and avocado, or whatever), sounds like the perfect way to start a Sunday to us. Drag your girl or guy out of bed and fill up before heading into town for a mooch around the Baltic. There’s tonnes of brand new public art to see, courtesy of Contrast Mural Fest, including the amazing Stephen Hawkins tribute at Constellations. Wander around the new Red Brick Vintage Hangar and pick up a little trinket before heading to The Tank Room for live music and the freshest pint straight from the tank itself.
So there’s your full week of date ideas in Liverpool sorted, from a quiet drink to taking a dive, you’ve no excuse to not get out and enjoy our amazing city with the one you like the most!
