15 things you can do this week in Liverpool (1st June – 7th June 2026)
The weather doesn’t seem to know what to do this week, but you’ve got no excuse with all this going on in and around the city. There’s loads of events and activities come rays or rain - so if you’re looking for a few ideas to take you from now and through the Bank Holiday weekend, here’s 16!

We’ve soaked up the half-term heatwave and come out the other side, now it’s time to see what June’s got lined up for us – check out these 15 things to do in Liverpool and around this week …


Exclusive Walk on the Pitch Tours this Wednesday at Anfield

If you’re a massive Reds fan, this has got to be the ultimate – walking out onto the hallowed Anfield turf for the chance to net your own winner in front of the Kop. As part of LFC’s new Score on the Kop experience, that’s exactly what you can do, and you’ll also get the bonus of a full stadium tour and access to the LFC museum. Be wowed by the Water Lantern Festival in Birkenhead Park

Water lantern Birkenhead Park Thailand

This event looks absolutely beautiful – on Saturday from 7pm, Water Lantern Festival comes to Birkenhead Park. Visitors can decorate floating lanterns with personal messages of love, hope, remembrance, or goals and release them together onto the water at sunset to create a glowing display.

Barnacle launches a new summer menu

Dishes at Barnacle are always something special and now’s a great time to enjoy them because there’s so much local seasonal produce around. The restaurant launches its summer menu this week, with highlights including wild Liverpool Bay sea bass, and herb-crusted rack of lamb, served Wed-Sat 12-9pm.

Karate Kid the Musical at Liverpool Empire

The Karate Kid The Musical - Liverpool Empire

It’s an 80s movie classic and now the story of Karate Kid is coming to the Empire stage as an energetic musical with great production and some brilliant choreography. Watch Daniel LaRusso’s coming of age journey, guided by Mr Miyagi, who teaches him the true wins of karate. From this Tuesday to Saturday.

Cured – getting great reviews at the Royal Court

If you want a proper laugh this week, head to the Royal Court for Cured. Laurence Clark’s Scouse comedy centres around wheelchair using lad Connor, who blags his way on to a coach trip to Lourdes on a mission – not a miracle cure, but to cop off with a girl he fancies behind the nun’s back! We all love a bargain, and Greatie’s a Liverpool institution for a reason – it’s got loads whether you want steak or a new duvet cover! This Friday and Saturday, Fields of Eire will be at the Olympia, after a move from its original Newsham Park location. It’s shaping up to be an amazing weekend of non-stop craic, culture, dancing and a huge line-up of live music with Nathan Carter headlining of Friday and The Whistlin’ Donkeys on Saturday.
