Jodie Comer comes home for Prima Facie at the Playhouse

This is a massive one for Liverpool – multi-multi award-winning actress (one multi wouldn’t do!) Jodie Comer is back for a week of sold-out performances of the acclaimed Prima Facie at the Playhouse. The production, opening on Tuesday, is a one-woman tour de force and anyone lucky enough to have tickets is in for an incredible night of theatre.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade 

Celebrate the traditional way with music, dance and a fabulous atmosphere filling the streets for the 10th Annual Liverpool St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Tuesday. Bands, floats, community groups and more will be setting off from Old Irish Centre on Mount Pleasant at 2pm to head through the city centre.

Waiting for Godot at the Everyman Theatre

Matthew Kelly and George Costigan share the Everyman stage in a new production of Samuel Beckett’s classic play where absolutely nothing happens. Darkly funny with unfiltered emotion, it centres on two men passing the time as they wait for someone who may never come. From Tuesday until April 4.

If you’re getting out for a walk, head to Sutton Manor Woodland in St Helens, home to the Dream sculpture. The 230-acre site, once used for coal mining, has been transformed into gorgeous woodland where you can spot varieties of wildflowers, butterflies, woodland creatures and birds such as kestrels and buzzards.

Northern Rhythm Big Band at Fogherty’s

Wirral-based 16-piece big band Northern Rhythm Big Band, with host Andy Bayley, will be performing for the first time in Liverpool at Fogherty’s on Blenheim Road just off Smithdown this Saturday. They’ll be supported by 12 amazing vocalists from LIPA for a Big Sing with Swing LIPA Special. Doors from 7pm.
