MerseyGuide: What’s on in Liverpool for you and the family this week

All the what’s on info for your week ahead.

It’s a brand new year and we’re so luck to have a city bursting with things to see and do right from the off. If you’re enjoying a few more days off with the kids before the daily grind and school run, we’ve got some great activities to check out. From bars and restaurants offering discounts and deals to museums and icy fun on the waterfront here’s what’s on in Liverpool this week.

Tuesday 2nd January

Joyful January Eats at HUS

Think you’re too skint to dine out in January? Not with a huge 50% off food at HUS, Tithebarn Street. Grab a table between 5-9pm, Monday to Friday and tuck into pork belly, leg of duck, tonnes of vegan plates and of course, scouse! Menus and booking here.

Liverpool Ice Festival

It’s the last week of the Liverpool Ice Festival so head down to the Pier Head and get your skates on for some wintry fun. We’ve loved the ice bar, ice slide and thrill rides as well as watching the little ones have a ball on the smaller rides and ice rink (before eating their weight in pic n mix!) Wednesday 3rd January

Lunch at Tusk

Let the kids enjoy their new scooters, skates and bikes with some fresh air fun before tucking into a hearty lunch at Tusk Baltic at Cain’s Brewery Village this week. Little Stars, Big Planets, World Museum

Looking for free acticities to keep the kids occupied this week? Look no further than our city museums and galleries. We love the Planetarium at the World Museum, William Brown Street for star gazing and hands on exhibits that thrill. Check out Ancient Egypt there too! More info here.

Friday 5th January

Pop Pilates, Live Wire Studio

Alder Hey Oncology Fundraiser at Oh Me Oh My

There’s some brilliant prizes up for grabs and a chance to raise much needed funds for Alder Hey’s Oncology Ward this Friday night at Oh Me Oh My hosts a fundraiser with speeches from brave teens who have faced diagnosis and treatment and their families.
