Christmas shopping

Whoever you’re buying a special gift for – for the kids, a partner or mum and dad (or even a cheeky extra one for yourself) – Metquarter’s got all the stores to find it. For the latest fashion from some of the biggest designers, including Balenciaga, Missoni and Saint Laurent, Cricket is a go-to in Liverpool. You’ll find original gifts at The Art Quarter, Transalpino’s just opened with lots of ideas for men, and Kids Cavern will have little label lovers looking amazing with brands like Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Lelli Kelly. If you really want to impress, Say It With Diamonds has dazzling jewellery collections that’ll definitely get you a kiss under the mistletoe.

Eating out

Christmas is a time to meet up with friends for some gorgeous food and a few festive cocktails. If you head to GPO in Metquarter, Liverpool’s largest food market, you don’t have to worry about finding something on the menu to suit every taste because there are 11 fantastic independent kitchens to choose from, serving dishes from around the world including New York-style pizza, Nashville fried chicken, Korean street food, freshly-baked gooey centre cookies and some limited edition winter specials. Watching Christmas films 

Nothing gets you in the festive spirit quite like watching a Christmas classic film and Everyman Cinema has chosen some all-time favourites to screen this December. Settle in with hot food from the Spielburger kitchen, snacks and drinks at your comfy seat and choose from Elf, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Home Alone, The Polar Express, Die Hard, Love Actually, It’s a Wonderful Life, The Holiday, Spirited and screenings of the Royal Opera House live magical festive ballet The Nutcracker.

Having a pampering session

While you’re busy racing around after everyone else in the Christmas build-up, don’t forget to take time for yourself too.
