Vernon Kay said:
“The 90s was one of the best loved decades when it came to music. Britpop and dance music came together to create an energy that the youth of its time attached itself to and created mayhem on the dance floors.
Now more than 30 years on, Britpop is still as energetic as it was and dance music has come full circle, with kids today hearing samples from the tunes that originally rocked dance floors back in the 1990s.
That’s why we are taking Dance Sounds of the 90s on the road, to play the greatest hits from the best decade of dance. Come and join me for Dance Sounds of the 90s Live. I can guarantee you’ll be hard pressed to keep your hands by your side. Rave on, see you there!”
Fans are encouraged to dig out their best rave outfits and prepare for a night filled with huge tunes, hands-in-the-air moments and unforgettable memories. Whether you lived through the 90s first time round or are discovering the era’s legendary tracks for the very first time, BBC Radio 2 Dance Sounds of the 90s: The Live Tour is set to be one giant celebration of the music that changed everything.
