Splash Art to host cheeky Galentine's Day experience

If you’re looking for a fun night out for Galentine’s but also looking for a gift that won’t hit a bum note with your partner for Valentine’s Day, why not combine the two with a cheeky art session?

Splash Art is offering a unique experience at its studio on Duke Street on 12 February, the day before what has been dubbed Galentine’s Day by Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) on Parks and Recreation.

For one night only, ladies are invited to a special session where they will use their bottoms to create a heart print on a canvas, which they can then choose to gift to their partner or keep for themselves.

The Cheeky Valentine experience includes a glass of prosecco on arrival, up to one hour studio time including guidance from expert artists, an individual bum print experience in a private room and a group session working on a special heart-shaped canvas, as well as two unique creations – the perfect Valentine’s gift for that truly special someone. Visitors can also add their names to the leaves on the Tree of Love painted on the wall.

“Initially I was just going to offer a private session but when I invited my friends to help me paint my bum for a publicity shot, they all wanted to get involved and we had such a laugh. So I decided it would make a great night for Galentine’s Day. Our all female team are here to guide you through everything making the whole experience relaxed, comfortable and above all fun.

“It’s often hard to find Valentine’s gifts that aren’t tacky and just end up in a drawer but you will go away with a couple of tasteful canvases completely unique to yourself that your partner will love. But you don’t have to be in a relationship to enjoy the experience. It can be liberating and empowering to strip off and can boost self esteem and body confidence.”
