Gaucho Liverpool launches its new intimate Beef Bar experience 😋

Up to eight people can take a front row seat at Gaucho’s countertop where a personal chef will serve an Argentine Beef five course tasting Menu, with every cut of high-quality beef personally prepared to taste.

The stage is set in the sophisticated restaurant in the former Bank of Liverpool in Water Street which has been beautifully renovated, with sumptuous interiors complementing the rich woods and elegant marbles of the Grade II listed building’s past to create a wow factor from the moment you step inside.

The Beef Bar experience, which must be booked 48-hours in advance, is available Sunday to Thursday costing just £55; you can also upgrade your experience with specially-paired wines, chosen by the in-house sommelier, for £85 per person.

A groundbreaking partnership between Liverpool City Council and Leeds Beckett University will create a network to share anti-racist knowledge between schools in #Liverpool. We spoke to Tom Logan @lpoolcitycouncil told us all about it.

Led by the Centre for Race Education and Decoloniality (CRED), at Leeds Beckett Uni, it forms part of the Council’s commitment to promote and enhance racial equality and diversity within the city’s education system, and follows the appointment last year of Paul Olubayo, the council’s first education race equalities officer.

Aimed at transforming the institutional culture and structures for schools in the city, the scheme will enable professionals from all schools and colleges in the city to attend sessions to learn how to challenge racism.

The sessions examine how to develop anti-racist policy, to improve racial literacy, and to develop colleagues’ knowledge and understanding of race and racism in education to establish racial equity within schools.
