On Thursday, August 1, Merseyside music veterans The Coral will take to the stage to christen the underground gig venue in what’s set to be a stellar set featuring the five-piece’s best-known hits.
Founded and owned by brothers-turned-business-partners Jimmy and George Craig, the three-floor venue has already confirmed a stand-out line up for the coming weeks with all tickets available via the venue’s custom online retailer Jimmy’s Live.
George, previously lead singer of indie band One Night Only, said: “Eagle-eyed music fans across the city have spent the last few weeks speculating about an upcoming announcement we’ve been teasing, and we’re excited to finally reveal that we’ll be welcoming none other than The Coral to the venue for our opening night. As one of the region’s most-loved bands, we’re sure their support will help our Liverpool launch shape up to be one of the biggest nights in Jimmy’s history.”
Since it was first established in Manchester’s Northern Quarter in 2016, Jimmy’s has become a firm favourite on the live-music circuit courtesy of its big-name gig listings and affiliations with some of the industry’s most high profile artists including The 1975, who have gifted the venue its infamous ‘Please Be Naked’ neon-sign.
Jimmy added: “George and I have been regulars on the music scene since we were teenagers and we’re both huge fans of The Coral. We are thrilled to have them with us to open the new Liverpool venue at what looks to be one of the city’s most anticipated events. The band themselves have been so influential to us and are just one of the many local artists that have made us feel right at home here in Liverpool with all of their support.”
The Coral will perform at Jimmy’s Liverpool on Thursday, August 1.
