The first look inside the Royal Daffodil has been revealed as Liverpool City Region takes ownership of the first new Mersey Ferry in more than 60 years.
The new vessel has officially been handed over to the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority by Wirral shipbuilder Cammell Laird, marking a major milestone ahead of its launch later this year.
A sneak peek inside the Royal Daffodil, showcases a stylish and contemporary interior designed to transform the passenger experience on the River Mersey.

Among the highlights is a premium lounge space on the main deck, which will also be available for private hire, alongside a first look at the state of the art bridge and outdoor deck areas.
The Royal Daffodil has been designed to combine comfort, practicality and modern design, creating a new attraction for both local passengers and visitors exploring Liverpool’s famous waterfront.
Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram said: “This is a proud moment for our region and a big step forward for our public transport network.
“Just like our new publicly owned trains and modern bus fleet, this new ferry sits alongside the very best of our transport investments. We want people to step aboard and be genuinely wowed from the moment they arrive.
“This is just a first glimpse of what’s to come, our team will now be working hard behind the scenes to make sure everything is in ship-shape for passengers to experience the full reveal when she takes to the water later this year- watch this space!”

The new ferry will feature spacious open deck areas, modern seating, bars and viewing spaces, allowing passengers to take in panoramic views across the River Mersey.
As well as operating as a ferry service, the vessel has been designed to host conferences, corporate events and private celebrations, creating a unique floating venue in one of the city’s most iconic locations.
Accessibility has also been a key part of the design, with a fully accessible interior and a lift providing easy access between decks.
The Royal Daffodil forms part of a £26 million investment to modernise the Mersey Ferries fleet and enhance travel and tourism across the region.
Before welcoming passengers on board, the ferry will undergo final preparations and a programme of crew training ahead of entering service later this year.
For Liverpool and the wider city region, the arrival of the Royal Daffodil represents the beginning of a new chapter for one of the city’s most famous waterfront experiences.
