A Disco Dim Sum Bottomless Brunch, combining the best of South East Asian food and gorgeous drinks with a soundtrack of fabulous floor fillers, is launching at Liverpool’s Mamasan.

The restaurant and bar in Liverpool ONE has created a brunch concept that’s new to the city, bringing together three of the things we love most!

Brunch goers will be able to choose three small plates or one large plate, with options for less than 500 calories for anyone who’s counting, as well as enjoying 90 minutes of bottomless premium drinks including Mamasan’s signature cocktails.

And, if all that wasn’t enough to create the perfect Saturday afternoon party atmosphere, there’ll be DJs playing vocal house anthems and classic disco tracks, as well as live music and dancers.

This will be the first brunch that Mamasan has hosted since it opened on College Lane just over two years ago.

It’s become known as a stunning venue, popular for a menu of authentic original modern South East Asian-inspired dishes created in-house and its amazing roof terrace with views across the city skyline.

Now new general manager Craig Cavanagh is keen to introduce a brunch that lives up to Mamasan’s chic reputation and brings a fresh Ibiza-style lively dining experience to Liverpool.

He says: “There is a big brunch culture in this city, with people who live in Liverpool and those coming here to visit at weekends, so we wanted to create one which is different to what’s already out there, and matches the venue in terms of quality and classiness.

“The aesthetics of Mamasan are really beautiful so the idea is to have a bottomless brunch that’s more of an elite experience, incorporating a theatrical element because that’s what people want.”

In place of the standard r’n’b and cheesy tunes that lots of brunches go for, Mamasan’s dim sum disco will have a set list of classics to get everyone on the dancefloor, so expect massive tracks like Black Box’s Ride on Time, Soul II Soul’s Back to Life, and The Love I Lost.

There’ll also be entertainment with a sax player and bongos, and disco mirror ball head dancers going from table to table and interacting with everyone while they eat.

The Disco Dim Sum Bottomless Brunch launches on Saturday November 25 and will be on every Saturday between 12 noon and 6pm.

“Our a la carte diners will be on the second floor, so they can enjoy the entertainment for free and be involved without being in the centre of it, and it won’t be too loud so people can still comfortably talk,” adds Craig.

The brunch menu will feature premium drinks including Bottega prosecco, wines, beers and mocktails. And there are Mamasan favourites dishes like katsu chicken bao buns, surf and turf Singapore noodles and a basil chilli chicken.

“This is our first bottomless brunch and we’re sure that soon as people see how amazing the venue looks, and then they taste the food, it’s where they’ll want to be.”
