Unity is Strength, the new LFC album from local band raising funds for Fans Supporting Foodbanks

The music of the terraces of Liverpool Football Club can be heard in a brand new album by local band The Ragamuffins

“Unity Is Strength”, the full-length studio album of Liverpool Football Club terrace anthems by North West indie/pop band The Ragamuffins, released this week on MK Records.

Available as a digital download or to stream on all platforms, 100% of the album profits are going to Fans Supporting Foodbanks Charity.
The Ragamuffins and lead singer David John Jaggs perform on LFC match days at Hotel Anfield, 23 Anfield Road. Their first football anthem release, “Si Señor” achieved cult status when it was played at the Champions League Final in 2019, as the victorious LFC players celebrated winning on the pitch. Subsequently the track has gone on to raise over £10,000 for the Foodbanks charity.
The band and their collaborators including musician Marc Kenny, fan channel Redmen TV, local independent clothing designers Blood Husky Clothing, Scouse Republic and Moving Unit, alongside Anfield’s world famous Homebaked community owned bakery hope to exceed that level of financial success, by working together to help such a worthy cause in these difficult times.
When the current Chancellor of the Exchequer (the richest man ever to hold a seat in the Houses of Commons) decides time and again not to provide sufficient help, to working people and their families that they so desperately need, the band felt they had to do all they could to help instead.
Fans Supporting Foodbanks are a national charity collecting donations on football match days, at grounds in Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Burnley and London amongst others. The charity was started by Everton fan Dave Kelly and West Derby MP and Liverpool fan Ian Byrne who have sought to promote the Right To Food campaign in recent years and operate under the “Hunger Doesn’t Wear Club Colours” motto.
The Ragamuffins will be putting out a new album of their own material, later in 2022, as well as appearing at Glastonbury for the first time and performing at the KopConnect Liverpool fan events in California and Las Vegas.
