Watch: Love Lane Brewing Company is keeping the beer flowing through lockdown
4 years ago
Love Lane Brewing Company based in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle has kept the beer flowing throughout 2020 and during the pandemic with a focus on online sales and deliveries across the UK.
Jack Walker is the Technical Brewer at Love Lane and tells us how the business has evolved since the crisis began. He also talks us through some of the products you can order online right now.
In 2016, Love Lane began the transformation of its Liverpool base, renovating an old rubber factory into a 18,000 Hectolitre Brewery, capable of brewing 3.2 million pints. The family of beers and gins are all made under one roof.
Love Lane is a craft beer, first brewed in a converted railway arch at Liverpool’s Love Lane.
One of the city’s most loved beers, the team are responsible for Love Lane Pale Ale and Lager as well as limited edition ales.
It’s home to one of the oldest names in Liverpool brewing, Higson’s and The Ginsmiths of Liverpool’s award-winning gins. The Higson’s name is twinned with Liverpool’s brewing history, familiar to generations of beer drinkers.
The brood also includes The Ginsmiths of Liverpool distillery where we make Merchant navy, Dry, the award winning Marshmallow gin and some experimental editions.
Under the new company name Love Lane Brewing, the plan is to expand outside of Liverpool. Flying the flag for the city, and sharing the love by taking the city’s favourite beers (and gins) to the North West and beyond.
