Watch as we reveal the brand new STAR that’s landed at Madame Tussauds Blackpool

The one and only Professor Brian Cox has joined an all star line up at this family fun attraction and you’re invited to a science lesson like no other.

Madame Tussauds Blackpool is launching not one, but two versions of Professor Cox, with an awesome 3D hologram of the physicist, the first of its kind in the UK,  along with his very own wax figure. The genius OBE, FRS Professor of particle physics, won’t just be available for taking selfies, but he will also be doing what he does best – teaching us physics.

With his dazzling white smile and open arm gesture, science fans can get their space fix as Professor Cox educates us all on the wonders of the universe, from orbiting planets and moons, black holes to multiverses – the secrets of our solar system will be revealed right in front of their eyes.

After co-authoring over 950 scientific publications and a string of best-selling books, including Human Universe and Universal, A Guide to the Cosmos, Professor Cox was thrust into the limelight making physics accessible to the masses. Professor Brian Cox quickly became the country’s most loved scientist for his good looks and presenting a string of well-known and widely popular programmes for the BBC, such as the Wonders of… series.

This is an unmissable attraction for fans of science, TV and great selfies alike, heading to Blackpool this Autumn.

In case you needed any further encouragement, here’s 5 things you probably didn’t know about Professor Brian Cox….

1 – Starting Out

Young Professor Cox was into bus spotting and busting moves when he was a kid and it’s claimed the Carl Sagan book ‘Cosmos’ is what inspired his love of physics.

2 – Oh to D:Ream

Prof Cox can’t tickle the ivories! Yep he was in two bands during the 80’s and 90’s the latter being D:Ream whose hit ‘Things Can Only Get Better’ became a bit of a pop anthem, despite the fact that Brian didn’t actually play on the track!

3 – Strong Genes

Professor Cox is married to fellow science enthusiast and presenter, American Gia Milinovich and the pair have a son, George. Another Prof in the making perhaps?

4 – Life on Screen

Brian kick started his tv career on the BBC in 2005 presenting episodes of Horizon in such a way that millions fell back in love with physics, he landed his own series in 2008 plus radio shows and best-selling books and has gone on to make science cool again

5 – Time Flies

Professor Brian Cox is almost 50…..and the one science question we want to know the answer to most, is how on earth his teeth are so perfect!? Answers on a postcard please!
