If you love amazing food, and trying new places or just getting a great deal at your favourites, this is one not to miss – Liverpool Restaurant Week, organised by Liverpool Business Improvement District to support our local hospitality industry, runs until Sunday with more than 100 venues taking part and offers from just £5.

Frankley’s Bakery trailer is open in Sefton Park

Next time you’re out for a walk around Sefton Park and fancy a bite to eat or a drink, make a stop off at Frankley’s Bakery trailer. It’s been pulling in queues for fresh bakes like sourdough bloomers, brioche and sandwiches, and you can pick up sweet treats including donuts, brownies, scones and cookies.

Pasta Cosa on Castle St has had a makeover

Pasta lovers have been missing all the gorgeous fresh varieties at Pasta Cosa on Castle Street while it’s been closed for a 10th birthday revamp but the good news is it’s back open with twice as much seating as before. Now you can get fabulous pasta, your pick of sauces, and a Spritz in time for the sunshine.

Clown School opens at Southport Market

There’ll be lots of clowning around in Southport when The Big Top Festival arrives from May 2-3, and you get can all ready by joining a free Clown School at Southport Market on evenings and weekends in the run-up. Workshops for adults include creating your own clown character and designing a costume.

Miss Saigon at Liverpool Empire

The tragic love story Miss Saigon has been mesmerising theatregoers for decades, now this legendary show has been revived with an epic new production and superb cast. Featuring hit songs including The Heat is On and Last Night of the World, it’ll be wowing Empire audiences from this Tuesday until May 2.

Conteh continues at Liverpool’s Royal Court

The life story of one of Liverpool’s greatest sporting sons, former world champion boxer John Conteh, is told on stage in a knockout new play written by and featuring Aron Julius in the lead. It’s an inspiring Scouse tale of resilience in and out the ring that’s full of humour and grit. At the Royal Court until May 9.

Young Blues and their families can have a unique experience of sleeping out on the terraces at Hill Dickinson in support of the club’s official charity. The stadium is hosting its first Junior Sleepout on Friday night and, as well as bedding down in the South Stand, there’ll loads of activities and games too.
