What’s On This Week in Liverpool 24th – 30th June 2019

Summer has officially started this week in Liverpool.


How’s this for a musical feast? Il Divo, Pink, Westlife and The Eagles all perform live this week in Liverpool. Talk about something for everyone. Elsewhere it’s Liverpool Beer Week, The Craft Beer Expo and Cocktails in the City will make sure we all stay well-oiled. We salute our amazing armed forces with family friendly celebrations (and some tasty discounts too) and there’s all the summer festival vibes with Glastonbury viewing parties, Ibiza Beach bashes and it’s International Drake Day on Saturday!


Here’s what’s on this week in Liverpool, 24th-30th June 2019….

Monday 24th June

Annie, Liverpool Empire

Strictly Come Dancing judge, Craig Revel Horwood takes to Liverpool Empire stage at Miss Hannigan this week as musical Annie comes to town. From Lime St to 1030’s NYC this classic tale has some epic songs you can’t help but sing along to. Tickets here. 

John Barrowman, Fabulous, Philharmonic Hall

He’s a regular face on This Morning and won us all over with his hilarious antics in the jungle and now he’s live in Liverpool. John Barrowman brings his Fabulous tour to the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Monday night. Tickets here. 

Armed Forces Week

The city gives thanks to its armed forces personnel, veterans and their families this week with a whole host of events and city-wide promotions. Look out for civic buildings being lit up in red, white and blue and find out what’s happening here. 


Tuesday 25th June

Dine at the Dock

If you’re heading into the city to see Westlife at the M&S Bank Arena or looking for a stunning destination to shop, dine and drink, choose the Royal Albert Dock. Bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes await. From amazing tapas to traditional Thai and burgers, steaks and cocktails galore, it’s got it all. Check out our Royal Albert Dock foodie bible here.

Pink, Anfield

The first concert of an epic triple whammy for music on Merseyside comes in the form of Pink and her Beautiful Trauma Tour at Anfield. It’s the last concert of the summer at the stadium and it’s set to blow your mind! Some tickets and a full guide to the event here. 

Westlife, M&S Bank Arena

14 UK number one singles and 20 years writing the soundtrack to the 00’s, Westlife perform The Twenty Tour at the M&S Bank Arena on Tuesday night and it’s a must-see for all fans. Nicky, Mark, Shane and Kian bring all the hits for two nights in Liverpool. Tickets and full event guide here. 


Wednesday 26th June

The Sound Social, 3Beat

There’s a chance to get together with like-minded music fans at 3Beat on Wednesday at The Sound Social. Whether you’re into production, DJing or simply a huge fan of electronic music, drop in from 6pm-8pm and chew the fat. Info here. 

Music Festival Quiz, Bakers Dozen

Not going to Glasto? Got a bit of a cob on? Get your festival fix at The Bakers Dozen, Switch Island on Wednesday night with a HUGE music festival quiz where you can rein supreme as the biggest raver and music brain in Merseyside. Starts at 7:30pm, book a place here, fezzy get-up is encouraged.

Beer & Brownies, Pi Rose Lane

Thursday 27th June

Baltic Market 2nd Birthday

How has it been 2 years since the Baltic Market threw open its doors? There’s a 4 day party lined up from Thursday to mark the occasion with all kinds of offers. Free prosecco, BOGOF gin balloons, live music, DJ’s, indoor/outdoor market, free entry and kids and dogs welcome too. All the details here. 

Liverpool Craft Beer Expo, IWF

Invisible Wind Factory plays host to the Liverpool Craft Beer Expo with sessions running from Thursday to Sunday. There’s a huge selection of beers, wines, spirits and food on offer from some of the best breweries in the UK. Afternoon and evening sessions are available with a branded festival glass included in your ticket price. More here. 

Il Divo, M&S Bank Arena

The third in a quadruple music hit comes with an air of sophistication. Il Divo play the M&S Bank Arena on Thursday night. Four hugely talented guys in perfectly cut tailoring recreating some of the biggest hits in a ‘popera’ style. What’s not to like? Get your tickets here and get ready to swoon.


Friday 28th June

Cocktails in The City, The Great Baltic Warehouse

Fifteen of city’s best bars will come together to host a ‘carnival of cocktails’ this weekend with two rooms of tantalising drinks and immersive experiences. You can choose from 30 original cocktails created exclusively for the festival by some of the city’s favourite bars including: Crazy Pedros; The Alchemist’s new venture, Aether; and Volpi.

Glastonbury Viewing Party, The Hope & Anchor

Armed Forces Day Celebrations, Royal Albert Dock

Following the annual tri-service parade, there’s a whole host of family friendly activities taking place at Royal Albert Dock to celebrate Armed Forces Day. Liverpool Vegan Festival

It’s back to Anfield on Saturday from 10:30am for the Liverpool Vegan Festival. With 80+ vegan/animal welfare and rights stalls, world food caterers, exciting cookery demos, inspirational talks, interactive workshops and children’s activities running throughout the day, it’s just £3 entry. Sonic Yootha 4th Birthday
