What’s on this week in Liverpool 4th – 10th November 2019

There’s no holding back this week in Liverpool, Christmas preparations have officially begun!

The light switch on’s, the theatre shows and wreath making workshops all begin this week in Liverpool and frankly we’re all for it! Alongside festivities we’ve got some indulgent new menus, tea pot cocktails, ways to improve your well being, lots of after dark light installations to check out and you can walk on the wild side with the kids at Knowsley Safari too.

Monday 4th November

Breakfast at Lock & Key, Duke Street

Monday morning means Mexican scrambled eggs at Lock & Key, Duke Street. Kick start your week with a delicious breakfast dish in one of the city’s most stylish venues, just a stones throw from L1. Menus and more here. 

River of Light The Art Works, City Wide

The fireworks may be over for another year but the River of Light art works stay illuminated throughout this week – for all to see. There are 10 different locations forming a trail around the city. We’re loving the bunnies and spiders the most. Plan your visit here.

Tuesday 5th November

Bommy Night, The Horse & Jockey, Melling

There’s a free fireworks display, hog roast, bbq and out door bar at The Horse & Jockey pub, Melling on Tuesday night from 7:30pm. Who said fireworks are just for kids, book a table for dinner and get ready to ooh and ahh. Info here. 

Bonfire Night Party, The Elephant, Woolton Village

The Elephant Pub in Woolton Village is hosting its annual Bonfire Night party on Tuesday. Free to attend, there’s an outdoor bar with hot chocs and enough mulled wine to fill your boots. Pans of scouse, choccy apples and fireworks from 6:30pm, fun starts at 4:30. Info here.

Champions League action continues for the reds this week as they take on Genk this week in Liverpool. If you’re not going to the game get down to District for live music, the match on the big screen and a boss atmosphere. Info here. 

Wednesday 6th November

Wirral Bazaar, Thornton Manor

If you’re looking for unique Christmas gifts and to support the local independent business community, get yourself over to Thonton Manor this week and check out the Wirral Bazaar. More than 60 stalls to browse. Info here. 

Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, Christmas Light Switch On

There’s no escaping it now! The Christmas count down has begun and Cheshire Oaks is kick starting its festive theme nice and early. A 90ft Christmas tree, circus acts, singing, dancing and hosted by Radio City’s Leanne and Dave – and a good excuse to have a wander round the shops! Info here. 

Glitter V UV Party, Pop World

Thursday 7th November

Christmas Wreath Workshop, Revolution St Peters Square

Moose Jaw Open Mic, Aether

A Christmas Carol, Royal Court Theatre

Friday 8th November

Sefton Constellations, Parabolic Lightcloud

Crosby Coastal Park joins in the Constellations light show programme this week. From 8th until 10th November you can see Parabolic Lightcloud. Find out more here. 

Late Night Keith Haring, Tate Liverpool

Dont miss your last chance to see Keith Haring (1958 – 1990) at Tate Liverpool. This hugely successful exhibition, which charts the life and work of the artists and activist, closes on 10th November. Late night opening hours on Friday. More info here.

East River Is One

East River, Allerton Road is celebrating its first birthday this week in Liverpool. Expect live music, dj’s, canapés, cocktails and a free drink on arrival on Friday night. More info here. 

House Gospel Choir, 24 Kitchen Street

London based House Gospel Choir perform live at 24 Kitchen Street on Friday night. They have worked with a roll call of iconic dance music producers, from global house icons Todd Terry, DJ Spen, Grammy Award winner Alex Metric, to Toddla T and UK gospel icon Nicky Brown. Octopus Vintage Fair, Phase One
