You can now get a COVID test at Liverpool Airport before you travel

COVID-19 PCR tests will now be available at a new test facility based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport which will enable travellers to be tested for coronavirus before they travel.

A number of countries now require all arriving passengers to prove that they have had a negative COVID-19 PCR test result between 48-72 hours before arrival. From today TAG are taking bookings to provide passengers with a complete test, results and Fit to Fly certificate service, helping passengers looking to travel overseas once again meet all the necessary requirements.

TAG have developed a technology platform that over the coming months will help Liverpool John Lennon Airport encourage more passengers to start to travel overseas once again, confident they meet the necessary health requirements of the country they are flying to.

The Knowsley based business has partnered with Salutaris to provide the clinical operators and process, and Randox Health for the laboratory testing process all of which are UKAS and ISO 15189 accredited.

The tests will be carried out at a dedicated facility located in one of the Airport car parks, costing £110 per person and can be booked now via a link from the Airport website www.liverpoolairport.com/fit-to-fly with the first tests available from Friday 18^th December.

It is expected that TAG (www.testassurancegroup.com) will also be able to offer tests for returning passengers looking to reduce their quarantine period to just 5 days as part of the Government’s ‘Test to Release’ scheme for passengers arriving from countries excluded from the list of travel corridors.
