New Year’s Eve in Liverpool is the perfect time to indulge and what better way to see in a prosperous New Year, than with a world class dinner in beautiful surroundings. Liverpool city centre has welcomed many new restaurants and eateries in 2017 and NYE is a great opportunity to splash out and dine somewhere new.
Our Alex has scoured the best menus and put together this handy list of city restaurants to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Liverpool. Which one will you choose?
1 – Gusto, Albert Dock
Situated at Albert Dock, Gusto is an obvious pick for a NYE meal. The gold, black and chrome interior is almost as delicious as what’s on the menu itself. The beef is a great choice as the Italian eatery serves up some of the best steak in the city, as well as deserts that look like pieces of art. The meal and drinks are accompanied by live music playing you into the New Year. As you would expect, tables, and even spaces at the bar are booking up fast, so reserve your spot here now.
2 – Neighbourhood – Castle Street
Neighbourhood is planning a 24-Carat Countdown for New Year’s Eve in Liverpool. 3 – Smuggler’s Cove, Albert Dock
Attention all smugglers, it is all hands on deck this New Year’s Eve at the Smuggler’s Cove at Albert Dock. Proceedings are in association with Chairman’s Rum and begin with a Rum Punch Reception before being issued your CAPTAINS ORDER (a small task or challenge) in the form of a mission in a bottle. Should you choose to accept then you will find yourself in the running for one of their fabulous prizes. 4 – The Alchemist, Brunswick Street
Molecular Madness at Midnight anyone? The Alchemist, known for it’s dry ice cocktails and mysterious smoke effects, is playing on these themes with a drama filled NYE event. There will be a set menu which includes the likes of their famous Katsu Chicken, a Rib Eye Steak and a Beetroot Risotto for the veggies. Table bookings require a £10 deposit for the meal, or £50 for the whole evening, which is then taken off the final bill. Book here and secure a place in the madness.
5 – Malmaison, William Jessop Way
Malmaison are inviting you to start 2018 as you finish 2017 – dancing like a no one is watching, surrounded by cocktails and bubbles. There’s a black tie ball and sensational local menu at Chez Mal this New Year’s Eve that includes Scallops, Scottish Venison and Champagne truffles. 6 – The Bastion Shankly Hotel, Victoria Street
To celebrate New Year’s Eve in Liverpool with sophistication, look no further than the Shankly Hotel and it’s stunning dining room, The Bastion. The plush leather interior will make you feel like royalty as you dine on the last night of the year. The restaurant itself has an obvious Scottish theme, something that can be seen throughout their menu as they offer Haggis Bon Bons and an unmatched Scottish Smoked Salmon. 7 – Frederiks, Hope Street
With a roaring fire and a huge snug sofas, Frederiks, in the heart of the Georgian Quarter is easily one of the most cosy and intimate venues to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Liverpool. This Dec 31st, the Frederiks team will transform this Scandinavian setting into a Disco for you to dance into 2018. We’re reliably informed that the NYE set menu will be confirmed next week and we’re safe in the knowledge that it’ll be top quality as ever. 8 – London Carriage Works, Hope Street
Hope Street’s London Carriage Works is offering both a Pre Theatre Menu at £60pp and an Evening Celebrations Menu at £110pp. The Pre-Theatre Menu is 4 course feast that includes an invitation to the NYE Party in the residents bar. There you will see in the New Year with musicians, a DJ and a free glass of bubbly. 9 – The Baltic Market, Cain’s Brewery Village
For a quirky New Year’s Eve in Liverpool, head down to The Baltic Market as the industrial space is transformed into a glitter disco bonanza. There will be glitter cocktails and a glitter artist to help you get the look, as well as live bands and a DJ to get you on the dance floor. What about food you ask? In true Baltic Market tradition, there will be an unrivalled selection of street food on offer from the various vendors and stalls dotted around this unique space. 10 – The Clubhouse, Liverpool One
This New Year’s Eve, The Clubhouse at Liverpool ONE invites you to celebrate the festivities in association with Liverpool Gin where you will be treated to a complimentary Gin & Tonic on arrival. After a reliably scrumptious meal you can find yourself in the perfectly festive pop up venue, The Lodge or seeing out the year in the stylish bar. In keeping with the upstate New York theme of the bar, the NYE feel is based on the Great Gatsby as The Clubhouse invites you to celebrate the Hamptons way.
