“Another Place” by Antony Gormley, known locally as “The Iron Men” is an awe-inspiring art installation that graces the shores of Crosby Beach.

Consisting of 100 cast iron figures spread over two miles, these haunting sculptures stand against the backdrop of the sea, creating a powerful and thought-provoking sight that captivates visitors and reflects the relationship between humanity and nature.

Bus Yard is an innovative outdoor bar situated within a converted double-decker bus. This unique hub offers fit food, stunning cocktails, and a vibrant atmosphere with regular live music, providing visitors with a memorable experience.

It has a large cornered off seating area with beach huts and shelters with fantastic views of the coast and Anthony Gormley’s ‘Iron Men’ sculptures.

Take a walk down the promenade

A perfect scenic walk if you’re walking you pooch or just wanting to get them extra steps in.

This route runs for just under 5 miles from Waterloo to Hightown, using flat paths. The walk starts and finishes at railway stations so you can catch the train back at the end of your exercise if you like.

The route starts from Waterloo Station, on the Northern Line of the Merseyrail network, and is a short walk to the Marine Lake and the coastal path.

Get a cone from the famous ice cream man

Go and find Soul Ice Cream Van!

This vintage-style ice cream van offers a variety of delicious ice cream and lolly-ice’s (yes it’s a lolly-ice … not an ice-lolly), serving up classic favourites to satisfy any sweet tooth.

Headed by Marcel Giglio the van has had many celebrities get their 99ers including John Bishop and Sir Ian McKellen.

Watch the sunset

We get some boss sunsets in Liverpool – there’s nothing like that golden hour in the city. But if you pop down the road to Crosby Beach you’re gonna be in for a treat.

Watching the sun go down where the River Mersey meets the Irish Sea is a beauty to behold… so if it’s something you have never done – get it on your list immediately.

Have a picnic at Burbo Bank

Renowned for its natural beauty and serves as a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. Burbo Bank is home to a stunning beach, offering panoramic views of the Irish Sea and the picturesque coastline.

It is the perfect location to grab that picnic basket, your family and friends, and make the most out of this beautiful weather we’ve been having.

Watch the boats head out of Liverpool

Boats come and go from Liverpool all the time, head on down to Crosby Beach, or Burbo Bank to watch these magnificent vessels as they arrive into port, or set sail for other destinations.

Take part in a Yoga class on the beach

You may have noticed that Crosby Beach is also a destination for wellness and relaxation. There’s always something take place whether it be mindfulness sessions or Yoga – keep your eyes peeled from the likes of Flourish & Succeed and Awakened Souls Events if you fancy some yoga down on the beach.

Walk the beach!

Grab your flip-flops and take a stroll down the beautiful sandy shores.

We’re so lucky to have a beach this close to us – so in gorgeous weather like this who needs a flight to Spain?

Grab a cool bag and take plenty of liquids, don’t forget to stay hydrated in this weather. Don’t be that person who leaves all the litter though – make sure you take it with you!
