Ring O’Bells reveals new summer menu and family friendly events programme
31 minutes ago
Ring O’Bells has unveiled a packed summer line up, complete with brand new menus, family friendly events and plenty of reasons to make the most of the sunshine.
The award winning gastropub in Ormskirk is gearing up for a busy season, transforming its canalside venue into a go to destination for al fresco dining, summer drinks and days out with the family.
Set alongside the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and surrounded by four acres of countryside, Ring O’Bells is home to one of Lancashire’s biggest beer gardens, making it the perfect spot to soak up the warmer weather.
Alongside its scenic setting, the venue has introduced a refreshed summer menu packed with seasonal flavours and locally sourced produce. Ring O’Bells continues to work with regional suppliers including Althams Butchers in Morecambe and Lancashire based Rowlands Dairy to bring quality ingredients to the table.

New dishes include a wild garlic and chicken kebab, grilled asparagus, peas and avocado salad, and a sticky hot honey halloumi kebab packed with sweet and spicy flavours.
Pub classics have also had a summer upgrade, with highlights including steak frites served with parmesan fries and chimichurri, alongside a smashed grass fed beef burger topped with nduja mayo, smoked bacon, cheese and caramelised onions.
Those with a sweet tooth can finish things off with a lemon pavlova topped with Chantilly cream and summer berries.
Families are firmly on the menu too, with a dedicated kids menu including favourites such as chicken tenders and mini fish nuggets, plus colouring activities to keep little ones entertained. Outside, there is also a dedicated children’s play area, giving parents the chance to relax while the kids let off steam.
To wash it all down, Ring O’Bells has also refreshed its drinks menu for summer, introducing cocktails including the Kiwi Mint Breeze and tropical inspired Miami Colada.
There is plenty happening beyond the food and drink too, with a packed programme of summer events planned across the season.

Visitors can expect monthly makers markets celebrating local independents, Father’s Day celebrations, screenings of England’s World Cup matches and the Wimbledon final.
The summer season will round off over the August bank holiday weekend with a petting zoo for families and a final visit from Joe’s Pizza pop up, serving its popular Neapolitan style pizzas.
Lewis Boardman, owner of Ring O’Bells, said: “This summer is all about creating a relaxed environment where people can come together, whether that’s couples enjoying afternoons in the beer garden or families joining us for our programme of seasonal events.
“Alongside the new menu and drinks offering, we’ve created a summer line up designed to give people of all ages a reason to visit throughout the season, and we hope everyone who joins us has a great time.”
