Here’s 11 fun things you can treat your mum to if you fancy something a bit different …
Take your mum on a musical trip down memory lane to the Merseybeat era with one of its most famous daughters. Enjoy a 60s-themed afternoon tea and glass of prosecco as Hollie Parker Price recreates some of Cilla’s biggest chart hits including Anyone Who Had A Heart and You’re My World. 1pm-5pm.

Just for Mother’s Day, Hot Water Comedy Club on Hardman Street presents not just one headline comedian but three so you and your mum can get three times as many laughs. Manchester-based Freddy Quinne will be joined on the night by two surprise special guests. Doors at 6pm, show 7-9pm.
Give your mum the gift of pampering at John Lewis. From 11am-4pm, treat her to a flash facial with Dermalogica, hand and arm massage with Rituals and a relaxing head, neck and shoulder massage with Aveda. Rituals and Aveda treatments are free, Dermalogica skinsolver is £10 or free with purchase.

From 10.30am to 12.30pm, relax in the beautiful setting of the Palm House and enjoy live music performed by Lord Derby Academy’s Chamber Choir. It’s a free event, so after the concert why not nip to the Palm House café and treat her to a coffee and cake while you’re there?

There’s treats and experiences for mums including a free hand & arm massage and glass of fizz, plus a goody bag with every purchase while stocks last. 1-4pm.
