7 reasons why kids in Liverpool can’t wait for CBBC’s Summer Summer Social

Summer days are rapidly approaching and now school kids in Liverpool have even more reason to be super excited!

We’ve all got a favourite CBBC character, whether you’ve grown up with Blue Peter, busted some moves with The Next Step or gotten down right silly with Hacker T Dog, cartoons on the Beeb have played their part in all our childhoods and this summer, they’re coming to Croxteth Country Park with the CBBC Summer Social.

Culture Liverpool won the bid to bring the CBBC Summer Social, the BBC’s biggest ever kids event to Croxteth. The 3-day festival taking place on 3-5th August 2018 is the only event to give 6-12 year olds and their families a jam packed line up of CBBC favourites alongside a raft of international music acts including Union J, HRVY and Johnny Orlando.  With so much to see and do, we’re chomping at the bit to get down to Croxteth Country Park and be one of the first to check out the CBBC Summer Social!

Here’s 7 reasons why kids in Liverpool are going to love the CBBC Summer Social…..

1 – See the CBBC Celebs

Can you imagine seeing all your favourite CBBC show favourites, right here in Liverpool! Sam & Mark are ready to host the main stage all weekend with special guest appearances from CBBC royalty including Hacker T Dog, Sam and Mark, Naomi Wilkinson, Ben Shires and many more.

2 – Take The Next Step

5,6,7,8…..It’s no secret that our Liverpool youngsters are a talented bunch and we reckon they’re going to love the brand new dance experience from The Next Step.

3 – Music to our ears

If you’re little ones like to bust some moves, the music line up at the CBBC Summer Social will keep them dancing all weekend long. You can see international young music sensations Johnny Orlando and MacKenzie Ziegler performing alongside Union J and HRVY too.

4 – Cbeebies Fun for little ones

Are you ready for this? None other than Mr Tumble himself will be appearing at the CBBC Summer Social! The CBeebies Village will be packed with enticing activities and performances from Swashbuckle and Vet’s Tales to Go Jetters and Bedtime Story sessions galore.

5 – From Footy to Flutes

Your little ones can join in with all kinds of activities from sport sessions with LFC Foundation and Everton in the Community or enjoy top class musical experiences from Opera North and the Royal Albert Hall. Truly something for everyone.

6 – Come Rain or Shine

Running alongside the main stage will be a spectacular range of outdoor and indoor venues including a BBC Music Introducing and LIMF live performance stage with music curated from across Merseyside.

7 – Explore Croxteth Country Park

As if all that excitement wasn’t enough, you can explore the Petting Farm, the Victorian Walled Garden and the Grade II listed Croxteth Hall which all form a fabulous backdrop to the very best of CBBC and CBeebies Entertainment.
