New website launched for Bootle’s new venue, Salt and Tar as it gears up for its first Comedy Weekender
1 year ago
Salt and Tar is a new event space in Bootle and it now has its own website, at www.saltandtarbootle.com.
This weekend it will host its first ever Comedy Weekender with three nights of live comedy.
You can find Salt and Tar in between the Liverpool-Leeds canal and Bootle Strand, the areas newest hub for large-scale and community events, as well as food and drink.
Residents and visitors can now check out the website to learn more about the space, and all the events coming to Salt & Tar, including the Comedy Weekender and a Music Festival two weekends in July.
Chris McCausland heads up a host of famous faces appearing at the three-day comedy festival. A small number of tickets are still available on the Salt and Tar ticket website.
Liverpool band Red Rum Club are slated to headline the festival in July, for which tickets have already sold out.
On top of the website launch, new artwork for the events space has been released. It provides the clearest look yet of how Salt and Tar will look once the final touches are completed.
The images released today show the space as it will look once work is finished, complete with repurposed shipping containers acting as food stalls. In addition to the food stalls and pop-up bars, there is a viewing platform, a marquee, rows of seating and decorative elements featuring plenty of greenery.
Cllr Marion Atkinson, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Skills said:
“Excitement is growing as we get ready to see the first event at Salt and Tar, and details can now be found on the new website at www.saltandtarbootle.com.
“It will be a fantastic place for Sefton residents to come together to enjoy some great entertainment, which the new artwork shows. It will provide a great boost to the Bootle area as well.
“I hope that anyone who hasn’t grabbed their ticket for the Comedy Weekender head to See Tickets and gets theirs before it’s too late!”
