The Baltic Market welcomes new Turkish Grill Çat Kapı
3 minutes ago

One of Liverpool’s foodie favourites, The Baltic Market will be firing up the grills this week as it welcomes Çat Kapı, an all-new Turkish grill concept bringing bold flavours and smoky Mediterranean vibes to the city.
The Baltic Market is set to welcome Çat Kapı on Wednesday (pronounced Chat Kapuh, meaning “knock knock” in Turkish – the kind of knock that means food’s ready!).
The new vendor will be serving up a feast of flame-grilled classics, all cooked over an open flame grill using traditional Turkish methods. It’s everything you want to be eating this summer: sizzling meats, seasoned sides, and vibrant plates!
The menu is built around authentic Turkish favourites – all served with rice, fresh salad, grilled vegetables, bread and homemade sauces. Must-tries include:
- Adana Kebab – Spiced lamb kofta cooked over flame
- Kanat – Smoky grilled chicken wings, a Turkish street food staple
- Şiş Tavuk – Marinated grilled chicken breast, tender and juicy
- Lamb Chops – Lightly seasoned and seared to perfection
- Halloumi & Falafel – A meat-free masterpiece with all the flavour
- Plus Sucuk (spicy Turkish sausage), Sigara Böreği (crispy cheese-filled spring rolls),falafel, seasoned fries and more.

The team say Çat Kapı is more than just a new trader – it’s a celebration of grilled goodness and a fresh addition to the Baltic Market’s ever-evolving foodie line-up.
“Whether you’re grabbing a bite with friends or simply chasing that summer holiday feeling, this one hits different.”
Comms Manager Sarah said:
“We’re always on the lookout for exciting new talent, and Çat Kapı brings something completely new to the market – honest, delicious Turkish food, cooked over fire. We know our guests are going to love it!

The Baltic Market launched in 2017 and was the city’s first street food market concept. Other traders include Polpetta for subs, pastas and sides, Nashville Cluck – the UK’s 1st Nashville Buttermilk Crispy Chicken and Hafla Hafla – Kebabs, falafel, juicy burgers and halloumi fries.
