The ACC Liverpool Group introduces new identity as ‘Liverpool Experience Campus’

The ACC Liverpool Group will be retiring its existing name as part of its exciting new chapter in its evolution.

The ACC Liverpool Group, which includes ACC Liverpool, Exhibition Centre Liverpool and M&S Bank Arena, has now revealed an exciting new chapter in its evolution with the announcement of its new name: Liverpool Experience Campus.  

Located on Liverpool’s famous waterfront, the organisation has grown into one of the UK’s leading event destinations. The new name will officially come into effect as part of a full brand launch on 13 April. As part of the change, individual venues will be designated as the Convention Centre at Liverpool Experience Campus or the Exhibition Centre at Liverpool Experience Campus, providing clearer guidance. Although the M&S Bank Arena’s name will not be impacted by this change.

There is power in the right name and Liverpool Experience Campus, or LEX for short, marks a confident step forward for the organisation as it looks to the future. There is confidence and power in finding the right name, and Liverpool Experience Campus (LEX) makes a great stride forward for the organisation’s future. 

Providing a multi-venue, flexible destination suited to hosting a range of events and conferences, the convention centre and arena opened in 2008 and expanded it’s campus in 2015, with the addition of Exhibition Centre Liverpool and the Pullman Liverpool Hotel. From its success, the ACC Liverpool Group brand was launched. 

 Now, almost two decades on from this growth, the brand no longer represents the scale and ambition of the organisation’s offer. Competing on a global stage, the business recognises that its brand structure does not clearly express the depth of its capabilities or the unique strength of the destination and its connected, multi-venue campus.

Liverpool Experience Campus has been created with the aim of better showcasing the collective power of the organisation, providing clarity and better navigation across the campus. 

The new identity boasts Liverpool Experience Campus for its next phase of growth, strengthening its presence internationally while remaining rooted in the energy, character and ambition of Liverpool.

At its heart, Liverpool Experience Campus exists to serve its city, going beyond the events it hosts, the organisation is driven by a commitment to improving the communities around it. 

Chief Executive Officer Faye Dyer said:

“Our new identity is inspired by the unique spirit of Liverpool and defines, with confidence, who we are and what we stand for. We are not a single venue; we are a campus of brands – four stages that deliver a collection of experiences. The new approach represents the scale and flexibility of our multi-venue campus, one of our greatest strengths, and expresses clearly the full depth and breadth of what we offer and what we want to be in future.”

Crafted through extensive research and consultations with staff, stakeholders, clients and audiences, this new brand marks the culmination of a two-year-long journey. The full brand launch will take place on 13 April.
