6 days out across Liverpool you can have while kids are still off

Easter might be over, but the holidays still have a few days left.

If you’re looking for fun for the family, there are still loads of activities across the city region to suit all budgets before the kids go back to school.

Here is our last-minute guide to six days out to enjoy during the last of the spring holidays.

After being closed since last summer, the National Trust entrance and car park at Victoria Road in Formby is officially open.

The train is the still the best way to travel to Formby, with regular services on Merseyrail to both Formby and Freshfield stations.

Then walk up through the woods to the sand dunes and make your way onto the sands.

After your walk you can enjoy a pub lunch or tea at The Freshfield, or pop into the family run Beer Station for a drink after your walk.
