Free bowling up for grabs at Star Pins for anyone born in 1966
2 hours ago
Liverpool’s Star Pins is marking 60 years since England’s famous World Cup triumph by offering free bowling to anyone born in 1966.
The School Lane entertainment venue is celebrating the tournament in style this summer, giving members of the class of ’66 the chance to enjoy a free game of bowling for up to four people during the FIFA World Cup.
With six decades having passed since England lifted the trophy, Star Pins says it wants to reward those who have spent years waiting for football to come home once again.

The offer forms part of the venue’s wider World Cup celebrations, with matches being shown live throughout the tournament alongside bowling, games, food and drinks.
Those born in 1966 can claim a £60 voucher to use against a bowling booking by emailing proof of age, using a valid government issued photo ID, to 60years@pinsleisure.co.uk.
The promotion is limited to the first 260 successful applicants and can be redeemed between 1 June and 19 July 2026.

Star Pins is positioning itself as a family friendly alternative for football fans looking to enjoy the tournament, with a range of activities available alongside the live match screenings.
Visitors can enjoy ten pin bowling, ice free curling, tech darts, shuffleboard, karaoke and arcade games, making it a venue where football fans and families can enjoy the action together.
Special World Cup food packages will also be available throughout the tournament, including pizzas, loaded fries, chicken tenders and sharing platters.

James Travis, head of brand marketing at Star Pins, said: “The class of ’66 have waited long enough for another win, so giving them a free game felt like the perfect way to celebrate.
“Whether coming for the football, the bowling, the food or all three, we’re all about bringing generations together and creating an atmosphere that everyone can enjoy.”
The offer is available to the first 260 claimants and is subject to availability.
