Here’s your half term Liverpool tick list to keep boredom at bay

October Half Term and Halloween all rolled into one week of family friendly fun!
We love nothing more than helping you to plan memorable times in and around our great city and our half term Liverpool tick list has more kid friendly, crafty, fresh air fun that every before. We’ve got soft play for rainy days, the best skate parks and beaches for burning off steam and plenty of dining and admissions deals to save a few quid along the way. There’s something for teens, tweens toddler and tiny ones, and a few places that do a great cuppa and slice of cake too!
Here’s your what’s on half term Liverpool tick list to keep boredom at bay….
1 – Pop Up Cinema at The Lodge, The Club House, L1
Fancy taking the kids to watch Disney classics such as Aladdin, Monsters Inc and 80’s blockbuster, Ghostbusters? Head to The Club House Liverpool One and check out The Lodge pop up cinema. Details here.
2 – Square Pegs Halloween Craft at Baltic Market Halloween Weekend
Who’s up for heavenly hot dogs and Halloween crafts at Baltic Market? Get dressed up, have a boogie and create some spooky art to take home. Prizes for best dressed and boss food & drink as always for the adults. Details here.
3 – Sensory Play for babies at Lady Lever Art Gallery
Join Jenny from Mini Magoos Sensory Play for a themed session involving music, parachutes, treasure baskets, tummy time practice and baby yoga. There are two free sessions at 10:05 and 11:05 on 23rd October. More here.
4 – Sparks in the Park, Fireworks at Tranmere Rovers
5 – Check out Aracnobot at Southport Halloween Festival
A giant 16 foot spider is all set to spark thrills and fear amongst Southport shoppers this half term Halloween weekend as it meanders through the streets looking for a playmate. Will you give it a high five, or run and hide? Dates and times here.

6 – Craft session at Walker Art Gallery
Half term Liverpool fun should always involve pencils and paint and messy time! Drop in at the Walker Art Gallery for an arty adventure on 23, 24 & 25th October between 1-4pm and create a wonderful artwork to take away. Workshops will be inspired by the Alphonse Mucha; In the Quest of Beauty exhibition. More here.
7 – Body Shop Halloween Master Class, Liverpool One
Liverpool One will again be a hive of activity during Half Term. With Halloween make-up masterclasses at The Body Shop, drop in art sessions with Apple and Cass Art plus create your own world at Lego. There’s also dining deals to treat the kids too as well. More info here.
8 – Meet Sam, Thomas and Bob plus more at Albert Dock
Shopping, mocktails and Mattel Play! Albert Dock is bursting with things to do and has something for all ages. Have you checked out the pop art at Tate? Made your own pizza at Gusto? Had a turn on the Victorian carousel? More info here.Â
9 – The Enchantment of Chester Zoo
A spell has been cast on Chester Zoo and the park keeper needs your help! Follow the trail, wake the animals and find out who’s behind this Halloween trickery! More information and tickets available here.
10 – Burn off energy at Otterspool Skate Park
The weather is set to stay pretty mild so make the most of a fine day and burn off some energy down at Otterspool. Try out some moves at the skate park, refuel at the café and take on the high ropes challenge! Info here.

11 – Wonderful World Workshops at the World Museum
Explore the world around us from the oceans to the stars as Liverpool World Museum hosts drop in, hands-on workshops throughout half term week. Lots of information available here.Â

13 – Sing Along with Elsa at Liverpool Empire
If you don’t love a sing-along at the Liverpool Empire, are you even a Disney fan? Frozen returns and Queen Elsa invites you to have a go at hitting those high notes as this iconic film plays on the big screen. Tickets here.Â
14 – Step back in time at the Western Approaches
Did you know the battle of the Atlantic was played out beneath the streets of our fair city? Re-opening during half term week, the Western Approaches is an anti-museum that invites you and your children to experience war time Liverpool. Click here for more info and watch above for a sneak peek.
15 – Soft Play for Rainy Days
Liverpool is teaming with soft play centres which any parent will agree, are a lifesaver during rubbish weather. We love Bubbles World of Play, Yellow Sub, Space World and Kidz Fantasy Land the best. Where is your favourite indoor play centre?
