A Girl & A Gay In A Gym host a Scouse #StayAtHome Fitness Day on Instagram this Sunday

Liverpool personal trainers and hosts of A Girl and a Gay in the Gym podcast Harriet Jeffries (also known as The Gym Bird) and Richie Swan present a special free stay at home fitness day to keep Liverpool healthy in lockdown!
Harriet Jeffries and Richie Swan are two of Liverpool’s leading personal trainers and hosts of the A Girl and a Gay in the Gym podcast.
Harriet went on her own weight loss journey which inspired her PT career, losing nearly 4 stone. She describes herself as a spinaholic with a drive to make people feel good and improve their mood with her no holds barred, bare-all approach to women’s fitness.
Richie discovered his love and passion for helping people achieve their goals while working in sales in a small gym. Now a PT at Harriet McGuffie Fitness he has won Fitness Instructor of the year twice at the national Fit Pro Awards. Both lead consistently sold out classes at Rise Cycling.
Harriet and Richie are already offering free classes on Instagram Live during lockdown and are now bringing some of Liverpool’s best loved experts and brands together for one big Scouse health and fitness day on Sunday 18th April, without any need to leave your home. With over 22 year’s experience in the fitness industry between them, Harriet and Richie are the perfect pair to get you motivated and feeling your best during this unprecedented time in our lives.
Harriet said of the event “Its going to be a fun filled inspirational day and we’re excited to be partnering up with Liverpool’s best from both fitness and hospitality.” Richie added “Right now when we’ve never been more separated, we wanted to create something with a feeling of bringing people together. Something that’s keeping us inside, keeping us healthy and keeping us sane.”
10am HIIT with The Gym Bird & Richie Swan
Harriet and Richie lead a 45 minute all over feel good body workout (that can be done with or without weights) to set your day up
11am Pregnancy Fit with Harriet McGuffie
The mastermind behind Liverpool’s Get Pregnancy Fit programme takes you through safe exercises to do during pregnancy, top tips for recovery, and how to work out with your baby at home
12pm DIY Facial with Rachel Hunter
Liverpool’s leading skincare expert talks you through making a facial peel using just asprin and water
1pm Cookalong with Maray
Jay Bates, co-founder of Maray shows you how to make a nutritious lunch of roasted broccoli with bell peppers & beetroot yoghurt
2pm Booty & Abs with Sally Louise Fitness
Sally leads a 45 minute fast, core-working, bum burning session for when you just can’t face any more burpees
3pm Anxiety Q&A with Sesmin Ewing

4pm HIITSTEP with Jase Porter

5pm Funky Beats Yoga with Ryan Tierney / Meditation with Rachael Currie
A 30 minute yoga session suitable for all levels with Ryan, followed by a 10 minute guided meditation with Rachael
6pm Cookalong with Gabriella’s Kitchen / Cocktail making with Salt Dog Slims
Gabriella from Woolton favourite Cucina di Vincenzo leads a dinnertime cookalong teaching you how to make a low calorie pasta dish, with Nick from Salt Dog Slims adding in a low calorie cocktail lesson.
