Allerton Hall Market returns this weekend for its first 2025 date
4 hours ago

One of Liverpool’s most popular outdoor markets is back this weekend, as Allerton Hall Market makes its first appearance of the year on Saturday 3 May.
Set against the backdrop of Clarke Gardens, the spring sunshine is expected to make it a perfect day to browse and shop from more than 25 independent traders, with stalls open from 11am to 4pm outside the Allerton Hall Pub.
This weekend will also mark a milestone for the market, celebrating its tenth event at Clarke Gardens — a location that’s become a favourite among locals for its relaxed atmosphere and wide variety of stalls.
Shoppers can expect everything from plants, artisan cheeses, gluten-free bakes and handmade pet products, to local art, craft items and fresh bakery goods — all offered by passionate small businesses from across the region.
Allerton Hall Market is part of Liverpool’s growing calendar of farmers’ and craft markets, which also includes regular events on Lake Lane, Allerton Road, and in Woolton Village.
A second date for Allerton Hall Market has already been announced for later this summer, taking place on Saturday 30 August.

Cllr Harry Doyle, Cabinet Member for Culture, Health and Wellbeing, said:
“The sun will be out this weekend and it’s great that the traders will be setting up their stalls once again in Clarke Gardens.
“The continued success of our markets shows that Liverpool loves shopping locally. It’s great for local businesses, great for the environment and great for the shoppers who get to browse fantastic produce in a wonderful atmosphere.
“The fact that this is the tenth time the market will be held is a tribute to the commitment of the traders and ward councillor Kimberley Berry as well as the council’s markets team, and, of course, the customers who make the markets the special places that they are.
“If you’re a regular market shopper – thank you. If you’ve not been yet, get out to Clarke Gardens this Saturday and see what you’ve been missing!”
Councillor for Springwood ward Kimberley Berry said:
“After arranging the inaugural market outside Allerton Hall, I’m really pleased it’s returning for its tenth appearance.
“On Saturday I’ll be welcoming returning traders and some new faces, each of whom will be bringing some great local produce and offers for local residents. The weather looks promising on the day so do pop down if you get the chance.”
First-time trader Carol, of Carmatara Jewellery, said:
“I’m so excited to be joining lots of fabulous stalls at Allerton Hall Market this Saturday. I’ll be bringing a large selection of costume and sterling silver jewellery to suit all ages and price ranges.
“It’s such a great setting, particularly with accessible car parking, so stop by, have a browse and say hello!”
