The World Boxing Championships is set to take place at the M&S Bank Arena this September with some of the best in the business from around the world coming to our city to showcase their talent 🥊
Among those taking part are local lads Callum Makin and Odel Kamara, both of which have been praised by Tony Bellew as “huge, mega future stars of boxing”.
The event starts on September 4th and runs through until September 14th.

The Guide Liverpool Heroes will also celebrate the businesses and hospitality organisations who give back to the city, as well as the music, TV, film, and sports individuals who strive to put Liverpool on the world map and give it credit for the support it shows again and again.
To bring the ceremony to a stunning finale, there’ll be a City Region Superhero 2025 award for that special someone who has astonished us by their amazing feats, as well as one for the person or body who has been the biggest inspiration.

The exhibition tells the story of one of Liverpool’s most iconic creatives.
It charts Holly’s early personal life and career, from a young musician to an internationally renowned, openly gay star, living in the public eye. Dealing with the price of fame, coping with an HIV+ diagnosis and unwanted negative press, whilst going it alone as a monumental LGBTQ+ icon.

The event was a true testament to Liverpool and it highlighted the strength and spirit of our community, and as Jamie Webster says, Liverpool IS community!
